Ok, just curious what classes that you have been required to take that just make you ask WHY? I am taking American Government right now and I am so bored. And if I get one more person ask me why I am taking this for nursing I am going to scream? My answer is I guess they want me to know how to be politically correct, lol. Ok, so what's your thoughts.

Drawing 101, a humanities credit, and a P.E. class called "Adaptive Nursing".
Adaptive Nursing consisted of a bunch of nursing students sitting on their butts for two hrs and complaining. We all got an "A" just for showing up. We never did one single assignment.
A total waste of time and $$.

The only class I found completely useless was my Psych 101 class--not because the subject matter wasn't relevant or interesting, but because of the professor. He would literally stand in front of the class and read the textbook to us. Boring AND offensive. Oh yeah, and class attendance was mandatory. Wanker.

Issues in Nursing. It was horrible for alot of people. Each time you missed a class your grade dropped. You could really not miss any then.

World Civ -- no pertinence, teacher reads book to us, taught like 9th grade, use notes on tests... you get the idea.
The most painful class I had, though, was Lifespan Developmental Psychology. Then they retaught all the necessary info in Nursing Fundamentals!!! I got an A but begged people to put me out of my misery regularly...it really was physically painful to go to class because it was so awful. And, Yes! Attendance was MANDATORY or your grade got whacked!

I took Career & Development. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....
I've never taken so many placement and aptitude tests ever in my life! Just to find out, half way through the nursing program, that I probably wasn't suited for nursing.

I ended up taking the same class...I needed 1 lousy credit for financial aid.
Told me I was more suited to dental hygeine (gag).

Ditto. Only I was more suited for something secretarial.
