This one is for current and former nursing students.

I'm preparing to start nursing school and want to know the things that helped you make it through nursing school. It could be anything - books, websites, supplements, equipment, music, study habits/strategies. I have my mind set for success, and would love some tips to help make it happen!

Drinks and the Internet.

Specializes in ICU.

My support system. Which includes copious amounts of wine!!! But also the people.

Specializes in M/S, LTC, Corrections, PDN & drug rehab.
Cocaine

I should introduce you to my husband's best friend.

A sense of humor🤓

I tell myself "it's temporary" all the time. It keeps me motivated to study when I need to.

And friends I've made in nursing school. There's nothing more therapeutic than commiserating with the people who are going through it all with you.

My support system. Which includes copious amounts of wine!!! But also the people.

Yes to wine! And Jack n' Coke.

Church, nursing school friends, vyvanse, and pizza.

Specializes in PICU, CICU.

I would say nursing in general. Without the relationships I've built, the grave situations I've been a part of, and just the overall learning experience I wouldn't be who I am today. Then there's the gym of course and my lovely cohort

A good study group. We had so much fun making up silly mnemonics and stories to remember drug names and biologic processes. It was great. That being said, if you don't have a group, you can always do that stuff alone, it's just not as fun.

Diet Coke, Ice Cream, and Olive Garden lunch special (AYCE Soup, Salad, & Breadsticks) for my LPN program.

Now that I am back in school I have found this DELICIOUS stuff called cookie butter.. It is my new love. I remind myself I only have to do this a short time. My family is my biggest motivator. I HAVE to do this for them.
