Hi everyone. I think it is best to keep this on our bb. As it may get lost on the off topic bb. things fly by so fast over there

So I had a cheat day yesterday. I am back on track again today. My cheat wasn't too serious but it still was. Sometimes it is just so hard. Anyways I have 10 pounds off so far. My goal weight is 150lbs. I try to exercise every day. I haven't done anything yet but today isn't over yet. How is everyone else doing?

Moni--I think it would be great if you could move this up to the top...it'll help remind us while we are stressed out about school.

Bean76--you have a Bowflex...how do you like it...my DH convinced me to get one but it's not here yet.

I managed to walk 3.5 miles today. The real challenge will be sticking with it when I start school on the 26th. I don't have my Weight Watchers weigh-in until Wednesday, but here's my stats...

5'7"/225.5(start)/178(currently)/150(goal).

Happy losing,

Christine

I lost 2 lbs last week, mostly fluid probably, I cut back on all my sodium filled soft drinks and hid the table salt. Got lots of healthy food at the grocery as well, here's hopin' I could stand to lose 55-60. Gosh that's a lot. Gotta long way to go.

My weight is at 148 but that's down from 183 January 1st of this year. My goal is 125-130. I'm getting there. I'm 5'7" and that may be a little low to shoot for, but it will keep me striving so I don't just stop. This last chunk of weight is so hard to get off and I'm getting so many compliments now that my motivation is waining. Don't get me wrong, I love hearing it, but it really makes me slack off.

The weight thing is true. Lean muscle mass will raise anyone's resting metabolic rate. My hopes is to get back into a minimum of 4 days a week of working out. School's been kicking my butt energy and schedule-wise!

I weigh 145 right now. My goal is 130. I am having trouble getting myself motivated enough to workout each day, and to not eat junk food so much. I know that 145 isn't that bad, I mostly need to tone everything up. I'm not looking for drastic changes. Maybe talking with all of you will help me to motivate myself!!

I have lost 5 pounds so far. Started at 225 and am down to 220 now. :D

Goal is 160.

How awesome Julie! You are doing fabulous truly. Well here are my stats

My start weight was either 333 or 332

My current weight is 321

my temporary goal is 300

my ultimate goal is 150lbs.(then we will see.) I am 5.4 inches tall.

okay now it's time to get working at it. I have already exercised today. I took two days off but now I am back to it.

Julie, WTG! :balloons:

Hey fellow students!:roll

I'm so proud of everyone and the success that all seem to be having.

I too am trying to loose weight:

Started at 180 went up way UP to 210 (I'm 5' 8) and now am down to 190 and holding for the past 3 months. It took 7 months to loose the first 20lbs and my ultimate goal is to get back to 160 which is what I was before my first of two children.

Stress snacking is my downfall.

Well good luck to all!:roll

Bean76--you have a Bowflex...how do you like it...my DH convinced me to get one but it's not here yet.

Christine...I do like our Bowflex...It really is a good workout! It's kind of funny though...my husband and I have had it for over a year now, and only just recently (3 weeks ago) started using it. My husband's friend isn't exactly a personal trainer but he coaches college cheerleading and runs the professional cheerleading camps for highschools...so we had him create a personal plan for us to use. It's been very challenging but I'm only working out 3x a week for about 30 minutes. He says this will work! :D

Just don't get discouraged! It can seem a little overwhelming at first  ...learning how to manipulate it and change between the differenct exercizes. I still need my DH's help everynow and then 'cause I forget how a certain exercize is supposed to be set up but once you get the hang of it, your workouts will get shorter and shorter. I started out at about 40 minutes per session because I was always looking at the pictures:roll

Anyway, even though it took us a year to get motivated, I really enjoy ours and I'm glad we bought it! I hope this helps and I hope you like yours! :D

Hi everyone! Is there a diet support group going on here? It sounds like it. I am trying to lose weight. I have let stress get me down and I eat, eat, eat. Well, that ain't happening anymore. I am now 145 pounds. I was 135 back in March of this year. I want to lose 30 pounds by graduation and that will be May 2003. Hopefully half those pounds I want to lose will be by January 1st. I cam currently on the weight watchers point system. Now, I need to figure exercising time into my busy schedule and I gave up pop yesterday so I will probably go through a withdrawl headache for a little while. Maybe not.

Hi Everyone,

I would like to join this group. It has been difficult to focus on school and weight loss at the same time. I am determined to stick to my exercise program this last year of school and lose 20 lbs. Maybe we can encourage each other when the semester gets tough. I start back this monday and am almost dreading it. Last year was very stressful.

Current weight 155---goal 135

Hey, I want to join too! I lost 20 lbs during 2001 with Weight Watchers...my daughter & I went together (she lost 30) and it was great to have a "buddy" to help motivate, but since I started school at the beginning of this year, I've let the program slide. I still try to work out 4 - 5 days a week, and stick to the program as much as I can, but as you all know, with school and a full time job, its tough.

I was going to give up my membership at the YMCA next month, since I'll have classes 3 evenings a week, and it just is really tough to drag myself out of bed at 5:30 am to make it to the gym before work...but I want to keep my energy level up, and keep fit. I'm not so worried about the weight, although I've put back on at least 10 lbs, but I feel like I'm "in training" for this new career, and need to be ready for the nursing program come next May. I'm 46, so the body ain't what she used to be! But I do get lots of motivation from all your posts...its good to know I'm not alone in my "quest" for a nursing career and some level of physical fitness.

Kudos to everyone that's losing the weight!
