I am looking for practice test questions. I have looked at past threads and people suggested using the NCLEX study books for good practice questions. What is a good practice NCLEX book that has questions in all categories. Any other suggestions such as web sites or anyting else is much appreciated.

My schools tests, in all classes, tests like the NCLEX so as to prepare you for it.

Thanks for your time.

For Fundamentals ... I suggest a book called Fundamentals Success. I don't have the book with me because it was for last year but I'm using the Med-Surg Success and I believe they are by the same authors. Colgrove and Callicoatt. I also used Test Success and they help a lot.

I have the Second Edition of the Fundamentals Success book mentioned earlier. It was the best one of the 3 that I have to practice fundamentals. I just took my first test, using it to study, and passed with a 93.5%. I also have the Saunders Comprehensive Review and the Hesi Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN. They both were a bit more involved because they are more geared toward the overall test. The Hesi book does a great job at scaling down the information and bluntly giving you the important stuff, it just doesn't have as many good questions. In looking through the Saunders book, I can definitely see how that will be helpful in the long run. I hope you are able to find a book that works well for you. Good Luck.

I have this as well, our school had it on our book list as optional recommended it is good! They apparently have it for Med/Surge as well.

I know this is an old thread but I know a lot of people may be looking for this same information so figured I would post to bump this thread to make it easier to find

I took the Kaplan online workshop, I thought it was great and I passed the NCLEX the first time with 90 questions. This was in 2000

Hi

I think that you should purchase a book called "Fundamentals Success," you can purchase the book on Amazon.com. I have been using the book, and I have been pulling in all A's on my exams. This is because as you go through the first few tests in fundamentals they are knowledge based, then they become less knowledge based and more critical thinking, that is why alot of very intelligent students don't do so well. They know alot, but now is the time to apply what you know in the real world. It is more about who is the strongest test taker as apposed to who knows the most material. Take as many critical thinking tests as you can take, and this will help you a Great deal.
