I took the Kaplan online workshop, I thought it was great and I passed the NCLEX the first time with 90 questions. This was in 2000

I am going to top all of you!! I was 43 years old when I finished nursing school in Indianapolis. I had 4 kids while going through the nursing program. I had a 6 year old and 1 year old triplets, plus a husband. When I was finally done with school and passed the NCLEX exam, I told myself that I would never go to school again. That was in December 2000. I would love to go back to school and become a forensic nurse, but I work full time and can not even think about going home after work and having to study for a master's degree. I wish I had the energy to do it again, but I am now 54 years old. Good luck to all of you who visit this site.

I felt exactly like you when I worked in the hospitals. I also live in Florida (Jacksonville). I have worked for the FL Dept of Health for Children's Medical Services as a case manager/care coordinator for 6 years -- 8:30 - 5:00 no nights, no weekends, no holidays. I get Sick time and annual Leave, also insurance and benefits. I hated working in the hospital. I don't know where in FL you live, but Children's Medical Services is all over the state of FL. i graduated from iNDIANA UNIVERSITY, AND I TOOK THE KAPLAN NCLEX WORKSHOP ON LINE. IT WAS GREAT AND I PASSED STATE BOARDS THE FIRST TIME WITH FLYING COLORS!

CMS IS FOR VERY SICK CHILDREN. MOST OF WHICH ARE ON MEDICAID, BUT NOT ALL. WE DO NOT GET PAID WELL FOR THIS JOB. BUT NO NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS. GOOD LUCK

i just started the kaplan course, and i don't have any emergency room experience, and i was accepted into the program. infact, i am just a case manager for the health dept. in florida.

I just started the a Kaplan Course. Can a nurse really get a job in forensics with just a certificate from an online course? I hope so!
