I'm taking a vacation or two this summer ...while still reviewing/prepping for school.:bookworm: LOL

Gotta be careful with planning out those Hep B shots before the deadline... it takes 2 separate appointments 2 months apart to have them done!

My plan, is to not have anything planned. Hope my four (4) legged "kids" understand their walk time will be drastically reduced...

Vacations, quitting work to enjoy my freedom, and pre-reading as many textbooks as I can.

We've been paying off bills for the last couple of years and will be debt free (except for mortgage) when nursing school starts. We're building the savings accounts and I'm also getting my CNA so I can work weekends and go to school during the week. I've been networking, too, and have a contact at a hospital (in HR) and another in Home Health. It seems the home health job would allow for studying on-the-job while the hospital job would allow an easier time of finding a new grad position.....hmm.....choices.

Thinking maybe home health for the first year to 18 months and then look for that hospital position.

I can't wait to ditch this office job and start working with patients! :)

I just got my blood test results (running titers to see what I need). I need Hep B. NP said immunizations are needed on days 1, 60 and 180 and according to my school, I need another titer run a month after the last immunization to prove that it "took" because apparently some folks may need a 4th?? NP said there's a Hep A/Hep B combo called TwinRix that he recommends. According to what I read about it, the Hep A vaccine is good for 10 years but the Hep B is supposed to be good for life. This still follows the 3-shot timeline but covers both Heps.

So is the titer just one blood draw to check for all your immunities?

I intend to go over cranial nerves, patho, and pharm!! I believe this will help me to get prepared. Also I need to buy all my school supplies. Other than that I need to organize and clean up my apartment, since I just moved 2 weeks ago. I would also like to go on a short vacation, to either friends or husbands family. And I also just want to relax, be lazy, work out, go out, relax with friends, because once school starts, nothing else matters.

I start school in 45 days.. I have so far planned a vacation and gotten my house in the most organized state its ever been!! I lost my job a few months ago due to enrolling in school (nice, right?) so I have been lucky enough to have the last few months before I start off to relax and get ready for the s$%t to hit the fan in August!! :) I have all my school supply shopping done ( I think ) so its orientation this week, vacation next month, then start school!!

I start nursing school in August I am in the process of reviewing my anatomy and medical terminology.

I start my program in 40 days :) So far I have finalized my leave time from work & I keep reminding my kids (5 &10) that we are now on a budget for the next 2 years. Next week I will trade my beloved Flex for a cheap Focus to save more $. Financially speaking, I started preparing and planning for this a couple years ago (having kids demands perfect planning). I started my summer off with back to back vacations to Mexico with my man and St. Thomas with my girlfriends...knowing I wont have time or money later. I preordered my 1st semesters books...not sure what else I can prepare for prior to orientation?? No matter how much I prepare, I will never feel ready....
