  1. Don't let the number if people that fail out scare you!! In my program we have had a lot of people drop out and fail out, but not because the program is so hard. It's because they either weren't ready for the responsibility and blew off studying, or they were there for the wrong reasons. All of us that study and try are getting just fine grades. I wouldn't let that stress you out. Just show up every day, do the homework, pay attention, and study. You will be fine.
  2. I will be starting my 3rd week tomorrow!! Don't be nervous, get a good nights sleep, eat a good breakfast and pack a healthy lunch!! You will be fine!!
  3. WoW! After reading all of these, I feel fortunate that my schools admission process wasn't that intense!! I had to submit an application with a letter of why I wanted to be an LPN as well as all transcripts ($35) then take the TEAS-V entrance exam and pass ($100) then an interview with a few of the teachers and the director (free lol!) Then wait for the letter of acceptance. After I got that we had orientation and had to do a drug test ($20) FBI/BSI background check ($65) CPR ($40) and get all necessary immunizations and titers. (Painful on my wallet as well as my arm!!)
  4. I dont have any advice, really... But I start on Aug 5, so let us know how it goes!!! GOOD LUCK!!
  5. I think a shorter list would be of things I'm NOT afraid of!! I start in exactly 45 days, I'm terrified I will fail. Plain and simple. I'm afraid I will make friends with slackers and it will rub off on me, I'm afraid that I wont be able to handle the workload. I'm even afraid I wont find a parking place.. I could go on and on!
  6. I start school in 45 days.. I have so far planned a vacation and gotten my house in the most organized state its ever been!! I lost my job a few months ago due to enrolling in school (nice, right?) so I have been lucky enough to have the last few months before I start off to relax and get ready for the s$%t to hit the fan in August!! :) I have all my school supply shopping done ( I think ) so its orientation this week, vacation next month, then start school!!
  7. 1: what date you start/ school name Start Aug 5 at Canton City School of Nursing, Canton, Oh 2: how long is your program 11 months 3: why are you becoming an lpn.. I have worked as an STNA for well over 11 years now.. I have always known that I wanted to be a nurse, I just was never ready to commit to the schooling 4: how much is your program ~$12,000 5: how many lecture hrs, and clinical hrs Not Sure..
  8. Omg I just took this test today, and the science portion was insane. I had the ATI TEAS study guide book... I knew the material inside and out, and most of the questions were not even covered in the book. I'm really frustrated and I hope I get a passing score!!
