I love the good friends I've made and the sense of comradery. I love that I'm LEARNING stuff, and it's really interesting.

Thought of another - I love the instant respect I seem to get from people when they learn I'm in nursing school. People seem so respectful and admiring of nurses (and nursing students).

I love it that I get told..."wow, you must be really smart" when I tell someone I am in nursing school. Like klone said, you get alot of respect.

I love my instructors dearly. I think they are some of the most caring and compassionate women on the face of this earth. I love it when they tell us stories about past patients they had, and you can hear the compassion and love in their voices, you see the tears fall, and before you know it...half of the class is teary eyed also.

I love that I am being pushed to do things I thought I never could or would do in my lifetime. I love that school has taken me completely out of my comfort zone, and is forcing me to adapt to new situations on a daily basis. It's making me stronger.

Lastly, I love the challenge. I love the critical thinking. I love learning. I love anticipating taking care of my very first patient in clinicals.

Bottom line...although I am stressed out every single day...I would not trade the position I am in for ANYTHING(no, not even the winning lotto ticket)I have made some truly magnificent friends there, and I have learned soooo much. I feel like I am finally part of something meaningful. No amount of money or material possessions could give me the experience, or make me feel the things I have like nursing school. It's priceless.

Overall, the experience has been great. Made a lot of friends with some really awesome guys and gals (most of whom are just as nutty as I am cuz they're working full-time while doing this, too).

The best thing about school is that I'm almost done with it (the undergrad part of it, anyway). I've been working full-time while slaving towards my BSN degree for the past 3 1/2 years and God knows it seems like a LOT longer than that to me. Its been 3 1/2 years of caffeine and visine, and to say that its rough would be the understatement of the week.

Graduation isn't 'til next June but I'm already imagining myself in the cap and the gown. :)

the thing i love is:

that i love 99.99 % of it! i feel like i've finally found something i'm really good at!

yay!!!!

I love clinicals I always feel like I am making a difference. That is my favorite part of school.

The best thing about school is the look on my sweetie's face when I tell him some of the new stuff I'm learning.

Second best things include comraderie, built in excuse to buy shoes, the ever-growing reference library that is threatening to take over my room, and the "aha" moments in class or clinical... the ones where you pull a bunch of ideas together and they all make sense.

OMG! Yes! I feel the same way! I am definately going through that right now with my psych rotation. But I'll really feel stronger when this week is over, and hopefully feel like a stronger person (if I make it through without getting attacked  .

I love being in nursing school and I often feel I'm one of the only ones in my program (71 students in my class) that feel this way.

I am learning sooooo many things...it's absolutely amazing. :) It's a rewarding experience (so far) and if I work really, really hard...I'll get the biggest reward of all....I'll be a nurse. :)
