Does anyone know how hard it will be to get into a msn program with b's in nursing school?

Depends on the program. Best to do the best you can do at all times. Never know when you will want to get into a program with high standards.

Don't know too many who get A's?

Well a B @ my school means you have scored between 88 and 92% so I would say a B is a good grade. Don't look @ the letter grade itself...look @ what percentage you got and decide....I mean a 88 to 92 B is better than a B in the 70's.

Thanks for your replies.

I don't mind going to a cal state. Anyone know how difficult it would be to get in at a cal state with a couple B's from NS?

But that is what still sucks! In my school, As are practically impossible to get! Ive gotten all Bs. Bs are 84-92.44. there are plenty of times that I have gotten a 90 or 91 as my final grade. You will NEVER be able to tell your future MSN schools that your B was actualy a 90+... all you see is that dumb B! and I know some nursing schools where a 90 is an A.... so you are having to compete with someone's "A" with your B. UGH..... I just wish all nursing grading scales were the same... NOT FAIR!!!!

I knw thats how our grading scale is too. Everytime I complain about it people just say oh well who cares long as your passing but it's true if I want to go on to graduate school they aren't going to care if my B's were 91 or 92's just that they were B's.... Sucks

Maintain your GPA at 3.0 or above, and I think that will be okay. Some schools also have provisional status, meaning you are accepted to grad school with a less than 3.0 GPA, but they'll let you take grad school courses as long as you maintain a 3.0 GPA.

How terrible Trilldayz... I can't believe there are nursing schools where a 90% is an A! How unfair to the rest of us...

@ Trilldayz...I never thought of it like that. Where I am from if you get a Bachelors degree in nursing you are automatically accepted into most masters programs...with the exception of the nurse anesthesia program (that program is crazy competative)...otherwise you can enter the masters proogram with a B average...plus most schools are no longer requiring the GRE inorder to get in...provided you take your bachelors there of course.
