I live in Oklahoma. I'm looking forward to branching out to a different form of nursing. Can't wait to get started!

Hello JenRNinMI, Aesthetics nursing is really SO FUN! I took a Botox/filler course in August and I have been working part-time at a med-spa while also keeping my full-time job in the ER. I love it! I hope you enjoy the course and you will learn so much as an aesthetics RN! Enjoy, Anne Marie

Anne marie, Hello!
I am an FNP, and have been doing a specialty for 5 years, but now wanting to get into Aesthetics, and thinking about taking a course in botox and fillers.it seems every job wants 1 year experience with injectables. Did the job you found not require that? or did they accept the training/certification as experience? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the money for an expensive $1700 1 day class, or if I still won't be able to get hired. It's so maddening when no place will train you!thanks for your help.

I am in the same boat! Looking for a good course to take so I can at least put it on my resume
This place seems to be the best I've found for botox and filer training in the US: https://aestheticmedicaltraining.com/it's $1,650, for a one day class, and you can get a video package to go along with it for $100. They have them all over the country.
•I would stay away from Empire Medical, very bad reviews and complaints on BBB, seems like it's some kind of scam.
A very impressive one is Dr Martin's training Center in Barrie, Ontario (basically Toronto), but it is $4,500, yikes!, but it seems very comprehensive with hours of didactic to do before you get there, and then 2 dasy of in-person training with lots of hands-on injecting on both days. The thing is that if you don't start doing it right after the training, they say you will forget it, so I hate to take it and then hope I get a job or I've wasted the money.Being an NP is so very weird, lol. There should be mentoring programs for all new grads, and for anyone that wants to transition to a new field. It's really just luck of the draw if you get training somewhere.

Hello. Is American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery (AAAMS) in Beverly Hills a good school? Anyone enrolled there? How was it? Thanks ?
