Hi! I wanted to start a forum for people applying to Vanderbilt's MSN program for a fall 2025 enrollment. Which program are people applying to & how much experience do you guys have?

Hi, I applied to the nurse midwifery program. I applied last year but I missed the early decision deadline since I applied in January, and subsequently was put on the waitlist... and a spot never opened up unfortunately. I'm hopeful that since I was admitted last year (waitlist) that I'll get a spot this year, but of course nothing is guaranteed. We should know in about 3 weeks or so about acceptance, so I'm just (not so patiently) waiting or at least trying my best to. Good luck to you!

I thought we won't know until January since they extended the deadline to November! Hoping we do find out sooner though. Good luck to you too!

Oh no don't tell me that haha! I just assumed we'd find out around the same time as last year in mid-December. The wait has been killing me, so now waiting until January is super hard!

Thanks for starting this forum! I'm applying to the PMHNP track, and I have just over three years of experience. Has anyone heard anything from admissions at all? I got the confirmation that my application was submitted, but nothing since then.

Hi-
I applied to the pre-specialty FNP track. I don't have any medical experience (I'm a therapist) and I'm still working on most of the pre-reqs so I know it's a loooooong shot but I figured I'd apply and see what happens. Good luck to everyone else who has applied!

Is your experience all in psych? I'm nervous because I also applied to the PMHNP track but only have 1 year in emergency nursing. I also haven't heard anything from admissions other than submission confirmation.

I have a mix of some experience in psych (not quite one year), and other experience that isn't directly psych, but incorporates a lot of psychiatric care. I hope it's enough! Fingers crossed 🙂 Working in the ED is excellent experience!
Has anyone heard anything yet?

Hi All,
I spoke with Steven White in admissions and he says everyone who applied by priority will receive acceptances or denials in the second half of December. I applied for FNP at UAB and Vandy. UAB accepted me, but Vandy is my number 1 and the suspense is killing me.
Hi everyone!
I applied to Prespecialty FNP and the "MN/PMC to DNP" program. I think we will hear back in mid-December. I also applied to Emory for their Summer MN to MSN program and was accepted in October. However, Vandy is my top choice! I want to know already! I am applying as a senior in undergrad with experience as a Medical Assistant for the past two years and volunteer experience at the children's hospital.
