I made a 100 on a test and most everyone else did poorly...

And while I know better and I let it slip I made a 100, because on other tests lots of people made a 100. Turns out lots of other people did poorly and are talking beyond my back how I breezed through the test and I'm trying to make them feel inferior.

I did not breeze through this test, I studied as hard as anyone else. I'm sorry for those that studied real hard and was blown away from this test. I know what that feels like too. It hurts to study and bomb a test. But why bring down the person who did better than you?

I'm sorry you're allowing someone else the power to make you feel petty, and I'm sorry your bitterness doesn't allow to share the joy with someone who did better than you.

Sorry, just venting. I know from experience not to share grades and I'll never do that again.

:balloons: Tweety...congrats to you on your test score! Brag all you want! You prepared for the test by studying hard, you took the test, and you passed successfully, so be proud of your accomplishment! :)

I'll reserve my bragging here, not to my fellow students. I just had one of those interactions with one of those "sensitive types" via email and it was getting ugly and I put a stop to it. We weren't understanding each other at all. Don't you wish people could be mature and settle misunderstandings with grace. :chuckle

Sooo, Tweety...what on earth makes you so special that several people are considering dropping a program b/c you did better on a test? You must be a celebrity or super hero or something, LOL....

Ignore them. They are just jealous.

I was also one of those who busted my butt to earn good grades. I wasn't the best high school student, so I felt the need to prove it to myself to excel while in nursing school. Plus, it was MY money for college & I wasn't about to do poorly in a class & have to pay to retake it.

Be proud of doing so well :)

Get this, someone emailed me and said three people had emailed her that they were thinking about dropping out because I said I made 100 and felt inferior and couldn't hack it. And did I know how fragile other people can be.

Gee, I didn't know I held the power to decide if these fragile people drop out or not.

That is so dysfunctional to me. :(

Congrats on doing well w/ your studies!

Cannot believe people are trying to blame your success for their failure... and then lack of willingness to try harder.

I say let them drop out now because I don't want to work w/ them later!!

Pat on the back to you!!

You're the Man, Tweety!!

I'm sorry, did you go to "make others happy" school??

I thought not..

ROCK that 100, brotha.

YOU earned it.

YOU deserve the rewards. I'm sending up a Tweety mortar this week - promise.

You're not bragging, you're sharing and we're all happy for you :).

I think alot of people feel there's only a certain amount of good news to go around and you've just used up part of it :chuckle.

Congratulations . A good grade on a test you've worked so hard for is indeed something to be proud of. Enjoy it. Way to go!

Congrats on your grade, first of all! You deserve it!)

As for the negative comments you're receiving, I hope those people are reading this. They should feel ashamed...which they probably don't.

Anyway, maturity doesn't come about just because someone is in college. (I think that has been proven over and over!)

Anyway, I don't think you were gloating, but I really don't think there is any reason you shouldn't be proud of your grade. You managed a great grade, be proud!

I'll try to use this as a lesson as well. Thanks for sharing! :)

Tweety, congratulations on an awesome test score. You worked hard and EARNED it. Unfortunately there will always be those who don't want to put forth the hard work and effort you so obviously did and then have to try to cut you down to make themselves feel better.

There will be "Grade comparers" at every nursing school. Where I was at I was often told my grades by others before I had a chance to see the post (grades were posted with your student number). "Your lucky" was the most frequent comment made when they told me my grade. Luck my foot!! When you put forth the effort needed and then some, it shows.

They feel inferior???!!! How old are they, two. Ignore these fools, they aren't ready to grow up and interact as adults.

Again CONGRATULATIONS :yelclap:

They all need a life. Where do you go that people get 100's? MUST BE NICE SMARTY PANTS!!!

Hey Tweety, just want to add my congrats. It feels so good to do well on a difficult test. Why should you have to contain your joy? I'm glad you didn't stuff because it was politicallly correct. Awesome!
