I am a mother of four and start this spring.I am hoping that with the chaos in my house that I will be able to do it all.I have the want and need in my heart and in my head I know that I am capable of doing this. How hard was it with a family for the rest of you.

I have a 3-year-old and I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I don't even get to study on my lunch break (what lunch break?), lol! This is my first semester of the nursing program, and it is very time-intensive. Lots of studying and also lots of time spent in the lab. My son just started preschool 3 mornings a week and that is when I get a lot of studying done. I go to the lab at night when my husband is home. It is challenging but doable (knock on wood). I was never into housekeeping much anyway, so that aspect of it has suffered very little.
I make sure that my son comes first. Everything else falls into place after that. Many of my classmates have children and work outside the home, and they are managing too.
I'm also a big fan of getting enough rest. Of course, this has been a constant challenge since becoming a mom, but if possible, I get as much sleep as I can. Being well-rested is the foundation for everything else. I try to fit studying in around sleeping, not the other way around.
