How many classes are you taking next semester?

What are the names of your courses? How many credits? I don't start my nursing program until September 2004. I've taken all the liberal arts courses that are required in my nursing program so I only have nursing courses to take. So I decided to take Social Gerontology, Understanding Death and Dying and Medical Terminology. I hope this isn't too much for me to handle...but I guess I'll have to get used to it...in September it's going to be fierce!!!!.....lol

I'm taking 7 credits this semester: A&P II and Nutrition. Then I go right into my nursing program, which starts in mid-May.

i have to re-take (gulp) :imbar math 102 and eng 112, on top of that i'm taking human growth and development (psych) and a fun class...fitness walking/weight training!

i take my pre-nursing entrance exam in Jan...woo hoo! and should know by early march if i'm in or not! geez i hope so!

that would put me to start my nursing in sept 04!

I'm starting my second semester of my ADN program:

4 credits of Med/surg (1st eight weeks)

4 credits of OB (2nd eight weeks)

1 credit for Pharm (pain in the butt!)

3 credits for Social Ethics (hopefully not too many papers)

I'm still having issues on this break, feeling like I need to be doing school work instead of relaxing. Hopefully today I can clean up my desk and put away my notes. Oh yeah, and order my books! Can't wait for Jan 12 !!!

I start my Nursing Program January 14th! :D

I'm taking Fundamentals of Nursing 8 Credits and

Anatomy & Physiology II 4 Credits.

Then in the summer I'm taking...

Speech Communcations 3 credits

Ethics & Morals 3 credits

Developmental Psych 3 credits (all are internet distance learning).

Then I have straight nursing courses for the rest of my program (breathing sigh of relief).

I normally take about 14 credits a semester but for the Spring I am only taking 12 credit hours:

Biology w/lab (4 hrs)

Chem1 w/lab (5 hrs)

Statistics (3 hrs)

I was going to take the LPN class as well for an additional 3 credits, but now that I'm going to be working as a Nurse Apprentice, I decided not to take it.

January 5th starts my second semester in a diploma program. I'm taking:

Nursing 101

Pharmacology

Human Physiology (4 credits)

then in the summer I'll be taking Microbiology (4 credits)

and will probably pick up Sociology during the summer as well to lessen my course load in my junior year.

Plus I'll be having clinical 2x/week instead of once a week starting in January as well (every other week though)....plus 2 patients instead of one to care for.

I'm scheduled to be at "school" M thru F from 7AM to 3PM. To take:

Introduction to Concepts of Nursing Practice and

Health Assessment and Fundamentals for Nursing of the Adult.

I'm not sure home many credits they're worth but it most be a few since it requires about 12 books.
