How is everyone's weather

I know here in Kansas City, Missouri we are in the middle of our first winter storm this winter. It started yesterday we sleet, drizzle and Ice. There is about 1/2 inch to an inch of just solid ice depending on where you live in the city and some have their power off. To top things of the ice is still happening in my town I live in a surburb of Kansas City and later on today the weather people are saying we are going to get at least 3-6 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow we are suppose to get more bad weather. All schools were closed including every college in the area so that meant for me and my classmates we had no clinicals today and if the weather gets worse then it looks like everything will be cancelled for tomorrow too.

So I am sitting at home reviewing things. My daughter she is only 4 and her daycare/preschool was closed today also and she did not understand why we could not go today after I tried explaining to her that it is dangerous to go anywhere, she got more confused because my dad had to go to work and she said well, if grandpa can go to work then how come I can't go to school and I said well they don't want kids to fall and hurt themselves or be out in bad weather, and then I left it at that.

This weather is so weird, just the past weekend we had 60s and almost 70 degree weather now we are below freezing and dealing with ice, snow and some people have no power. Well, I guess that is winter time huh.

This week in Maryland, we're getting that 60-70 degree weather. It's supposed to get cold this weekend, but please don't send that Kansas City snowstorm our way. :)

It's been snowing here in Southeastern Michigan since the am. Check out this weather forecast I pulled up!! Severe Weather Alert! Woo Hoo!

Snow will continue to fall across Detroit...Ann Arbor...Adrian and

Monroe vicinities through this afternoon into tonight. Snowfall

amounts by evening will Range around 6 inches across most of the warning area. Snow will taper off this evening before returning toward midnight. Snow will become heavy at times overnight with additional snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches. Snow is expected to mix with and change to sleet and freezing by Sunrise Thursday with significant ice accumulation expected. Total snowfall amounts in the warning area will Range between 10 and 16 inches with significant accumulations of ice.

Wish me luck getting to classes! Cheers to everyone in the warmer regions!!

Keep Well

Monday it was in the high 40's and sunny, got a round of golf in over in Canada, todya, freezing rain and snow in the high 20's. One of the multiple reason I hate it hear. If you don't like the weather in Buffalo, wait 10 minutes it'll change

Peaceful-sounds like your weather's coming my way...

It's been raining for 2 days now, and is supposed to freeze tonight:rolleyes: then snow for the next several days, that will be the first "real" snow we've had this year though...so I better not complain!

I hope it doesn't get too bad out, if we're stuck at home very long my son starts acting like a caged animal.

It has been unseasonably warm, today raining and in the 60's, tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 70's. I live the central part of West Virginia. It should be in the 30's this time of the year. I think it's supposed to turn colder by the weekend. We had 4-5 inches of snow 3 weeks ago.

Unusually warm weather recently in my part of Ohio, until today, we are experiencing Freezing Rain at this moment.

It was nice while it lasted !!

I was born and raised in New York City, where my brother tells me it has been raining and sleeting for 4 days now, even tho last week they had 60 degree weather...

I have lived in Arizona for 7 years now...hot as you know what in the summer...but I am right now contemplating going swimming tomorrow. (I know..I should not be so rotten and gloat..sorry, just having fun!!)

It actually has been cold in the mornings, a shivery 40 degrees..I have no blood left in my body anymore, we don't really need it in the summer anyway, gets too hot...LOL

Anyway, I propose a swim and study party at my house...let's say once a week? Sound good to anyone else?

Cmon over folks...let's study our way to good grades, in the sunshine, just don't forget your shades and sun block. Pina coladas and margaritas for everyone...Yee ha!!

Hope I made you smile!! :D

Here in the Seattle area we've had some snow recently. We don't get near the snow we used to, I think because of global warming. NE of Seattle (where I am) we got like 4 in of snow and it was fun to come out of class and see the snow falling continuously. It has stopped now and is about 40 degrees.

Classes cancelled today due to hazardous weather.

I'm in Pittsburgh and we have had some of the BEST weather this past week. This weekend was warm and sunny, in the 60's. I actually opened up all the windows in my house to air it out a bit and stuck a couple more spring bulbs in the ground.

Right now it's about 45 or 50 and bright and sunny. Still great weather for Western PA.

Here in PA we always get a few days of really nice weather like this usually sometime in January and even mid to late February. I remember for my 16th birthday (Feb. 26) I had my party out on my back deck it was so nice. We even set up nite time party lights around the back yard. Blizard the following week though.

It's supposed to get cold again this weekend though - 20's. but it doesn't look like we'll get the snow, sleet and ice that a lot of you have right now.

Ahhh, how Mother Nature does like to taunt us.

Take care and stay bundled!

Colleen;)
