hello to all "old" posters and welcome to all "new" comers!

wow! is all i can say about this "fast-pace" semester! clinicals are great! we are rotating to md offices, surgery, and our floor is a "step down" (med/surg) unit.

through all the stress, god is still good and i would do this [school] all over again!

my daughter has been ill, but, she is improving. i don't see how some of you come here and post, go to school, work, family, and keep up with other areas of your lives!

i am so tired at the end of the day from getting up so early for clinical or staying up late studying.

we are having a test every week along with two clinical days and two lecture days. we have two more weeks left in our adult i class and if pass, it is on to ob/maternal nursing the last weeks of this semester.

i just wanted to say hello and much continued success to each of you, whether, pre-nursing students, contemplating nursing students, or nursing students, and others alike.

see you all soon! :kiss

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

all the best to those who are preparing for tests soon.

keep the faith!

Hi everyone. Just poped in. I can't believe how fast things are going. I have three more clinical days, two experience days and then it's test week and then spring break. I feel more like a nurse one minute and then like I haven't got a clue the next. So far I have been doing ok. I hope to wind up with at least an A- average but I will take what I get. I have some work to do in order to get there and hanging out on here is not going to help. Oh well sometimes you just have to kick back a little. On Tuesday we have out third nursing exam on cardiac and Respiratory. I hope I do well on it. It sound likes everyone is doing well. good luck everyone. I will catch up with everyone during spring break.

Take care

Hello Stephany, nice to see you again !

Specializes in PCU, Critical Care, Observation.

Things are going great over here in first semester--it's been much easier than I anticipated. Although they are telling us it's a different story in second semester. Last Wednesday was our last lab day, have my last evaluation on Tuesday in med administration & injections, spring break is the following week & then we start clinical two days a week until the end of April. It's flying by!

Specializes in Perinatal/neonatal.

Hey Stephany & everyone,

I hardly ever have time to get on here lately, but things are going pretty well. The class I absolutely despise is the communications class I'm in..makes me wanna:chair: ! Nursing keeps me busy as we're studying burns and the Integumentary system this week and there seems to be so much to learn. I am counting down till summer break for sure!!

love,

~Angie

All I can say is ARRRGGGHHHH!!! They have accelerated our classes so we have 13 weeks of class/clinical in 7. Right now I'm in Peds which isn't so bad but after spring break it's med/surg II and I'm told by my best friend that most of the class is teetering on the brink of failure...Geesh, can't wait til May '04!!

Specializes in Float Pool, ICU/CCU, Med/Surg, Onc, Tele.

I'm doing very well. I'm ahead of the game on several assignments and have been getting A's and high B's on everything. I bow before the god of curved grades because I managed to pull a 95% on the hellacious Pharmacology exam that I felt certain I'd be lucky to get a 75% on.

Things are just flying along and I'd never have kept up if I hadn't made the big "master assignment spreadsheet" the first week of school. It lists everything due, from quizzes to assignments to what chapters are supposed to be read in which books for each week.

We start clinicals next week and over the next month we'll drop 4 classes that were accelerated to the front end of the semester. I expect time will really fly from now on.

Good luck to everyone!
