Made a "B" (I think). Hey, I'll take it. It was one heck of cramed full semester. Along with house sitting a state a way for my boss, a co-worker quitting, husband having eye surgery (lacrimal sac - ha I know that:D ) and death in the family.

Only have 1 week off before I start back w/ him in A&P II & the week after - NURSING CLASSES.:D

had to say YEAH!

Specializes in 5 yrs OR, ASU Pre-Op 2 yr. ER.

Congratulations!

I required a lot of Avdil when i had that class.

I took an A and P class in high school that was offered, and taking the class for me in nursing school was almost like a refresher.

Back in 93 was when i had my HS A and P class, right when Dad had pancreatitis, a cyst on his pancreas, a clogged bile duct, and an ileus at once. Thanks to that class (and good color pics in a book) I was able to explain to my stepmom what exactly the surgeon was going to do.

Specializes in Oncology, Cardiology, ER, L/D.

yeah, way to go Jenn! go on with your bad, lacrimal sac knowing, self sister!:p

YOU GO GIRL.....I will be taking A&P I this fall and I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. How was it? I know you got a B but is it because you were already familiar with everything or what. Help me out. I want to know what to expect.

Congratulations.....you did the doggone thang!

Round TWO!!!!

Congrats! I just got thru A&P I this week too and am glad to be through that one (I have about a month until fall term starts, and A&P II). I got an A, but I only took 2 classes this summer and I studied my rear off! I think I studied more for that class than any other class I've EVER taken! I hadn't taken an A&P class before...only the General Biology series about 14 years ago when I was getting my psychology degree.

Don't sweat it. Yeah, it's a lot of information, but your instructors don't expect you to be superheros and know every little thing. Just pay attention to what they stress in lecture, and don't miss your labs or leave early. I got >100% in that class just by showing up and keeping up with the assignments. Oh, and studying a LOT.

I finished A&PI on July 30th, it was so hard not really the material just learning it so FAST, it seems like the next week after the test what I learned kicked in hahaha but I did get a B, not sure how but I will take it. I figured I would end up with a C because in my test grades dropped after my car accident first of July. Thank you for extra credit!!!! A&PII starts on Aug 19 along with my nursing classes. Hope I can do it!!

Yeah I am really happy. Ya know what was nice - On my way home I saw a full rainbow. That was a sweet little gift. I'm sentimental.

Make sure you read & memorize. Even then, it's not always enough. Make up little study rhymes. I made up this one.... Old Owls Offer Tired Teachers Alternative Feathers. Valent Griffindors Viturally Always Help. - Yes, Harry Potter - but i remembered Olfactory - Optic Nerve - Oculomotor - Trochlear - Trigmery (Sp?) etc. It helps. GOOD LUCk - May you see a rainbow at the end too.

I had AP1 and AP2 a little over a year ago. I got a B in 1 and an A in 2 (I did AP2 in 4 weeks!)

Anyways, AP2 is a lot more fun that AP1. It is still going to require a lot of studying....but it will be much more interesting - you get more into the physiology of things.

Congrats on the good grades and Good luck on this semester!

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

Just finished A&P I in six weeks - feels great to be done! We had tests/quizzes/practicals every week. Felt like I never came up for air! Received As in lecture and lab - onto A&P II and Micro.......
