I just found out this morning that my hubby went out and got me a new desk for my computer and schoolwork and my "office" stuff!
I know it sounds like small potatoes to a bunch of you, but I like to do my homework and all my office things (bill paying and record keeping, etc...) in one place...to me, a bigger desk would be a blessing....
He's supposed to be getting it from a friend of ours (who no longer needs it), and is going to set it up tonight while I am at work...
isn't that sweet?
PS Maybe that means he's finally realizing that I am taking schoolwork seriously, and refuse to be disturbed anymore!
I can only hope so!
YEA!!!

I remember my desk when i decided in my second lifetime to take up nursing.......
Not my husband, but my inlaws.......got it for me for a buck.....at a auction.........
and we paid them 200%............
$2.00
still have it and sitting behind it right now......
solid, heavy oak................
many many many hours behind.......
and memories......
and my elderly cat was a very tiny kitten then.....
sat on my head and my shoulder when I studied
for hours on end'
love this thread......'

Isn't is great when they do something for you that involves thinking about you ... means more to me than an expensive but no-thought-required gift. :)
Enjoy your desk!

Julie,
I can pretty much gurantee that we all know how you feel when you say "maybe he now realizes that I take my school work seriously". I was once there and as soon as I got into the actual Nursing program it was 180 from there~!! Congratulations on your new desk!!!! I am sure you will get a ton of use out of it!!!:roll
