Went to nursing school at the age of 45. LOVE nursing! It's the greatest job in the world! Even when it sucks, it's great. Have now been an RN for three years and wish I had done it a long time ago. :kiss

I was a CNA for 2 yrs. then I had 3 kids in 1 year( how foolish) was a full time mom til they started school then went back and got my LPN. I have been an LPN for 18 yrs. Now working on my RN slowly and working weekends. After an especially lousey day at work I think about changing my major until I cool off My daughter is going to school full time for her RN now, Started Nursing 1 last week. My grandmother was a nurse too, it must be a genetic defect.

I have been a nurse for 10 wonderful years. Most days, I can't imagine doing anything else, other than I would love to have my own restaurant. And just visit with the customers.

I have done this for almost eight years. I went to nursing school to escape a dead-end desk job that both overworked and underpaid me. I made more in my first year as a nurse than I did in my last year in the other job (with 16 years of experience). Ironically, I went to nursing school in part to get out of corrections, and now I work in the infirmary of a medium-security prison.

A life sentence on the installment plan.
