  4. were i work, at boone mem i make 16 an hour and i have been there almost 4 years and do charge for that pd. we don't have resp, ivt,or a code team. we do it all, and when the er gets in trouble we leave the floor and go help them. we are a one floor hospital. i could go to charleston which is about 45 min or to logan gen which is about 30min, but it is all the same. the staffing is bad every were. i want to leave here but there isn't anything out there that is better. i don't think so anyway.

  7. i'm a charge nurse on evening shift, and a lpn has been just walking out and going home. not tell me she is leaving. one night she left me with 22 pt and 1 other nurse. and we were getting admits about 4 or 5 d/t a school bus wreck. so some one that had already work aday shift had to come out and work. i wrote her up. now she said i'm harassing her, and she said i would pay for what i have done. do you think she has grounds for harassment.

  11. i to had to have a hyster, i was bleeding so much i had to have two units of blood. i decide to leave my ovaries, because i had a hx of blood clot, and hormones were not a choice for me. it has been 3yrs, and i don't regeret it at all. i do have hot flashes sometimes, and mood swing, but it is better than bleeding and hurting all the time.
  12. i feel for you, were i work it"s the same. one day i came in and there were 6 admits and a d/c waiting for me with one other nurse on the floor, that day shift couldn't get, who had 4 nurses that day. Then i had a pt to die. with 22 pt's and 2 nurses on the floor it was a bad evening!
