I'm an Australian RN studying to be a midwife at the moment. I plan to work for a year after i graduate from midwifery and work overseas for a while. I've got a few places in mind such as vancouver and the uk, but would love some input as to what other countries you guys have love doing your nursing or midwifery in. I'm not fussed about the conditions of work. I could birth babies in africa or work in new york. It's the experiences that count.

US and UK off course!

Im new here and planning take up BSN this school year.

I have always wanted to work in the Middle East! Crazy, I know, considering the situation nowadays, but I still wanna go! Id also love Italy or a small caribbean island. :) I like the walk to work and the beach idea.

Specializes in LTC.

Israel, Iraq, Turkey...but only short term. I wouldn't take my family but I don't want to be away from them for years at a time.

If I had to choose a dreamy, relaxing environment (after work, of course) I think I would like Switzerland or somewhere in the European north.

Hawaii

I no it's part of the US but it's still overseas. I went on a cruise in Feb. 05' and loved everything about it. I would like to work in Kona, a small quaint town on the big island. Maui is too commercial and very expensive, Honalulu has some pretty dangerous areas.

Anybody else have this dream?

I'd love to work in Germany, UK, Poland, Ireland, Norway or Austria (in that order). I'm in the process of earning my BSN-RN and learning German, because I seriously want to live/work in Germany.
