I am soooo disappointed to see the UHC thread closed. What a shame.

It was great until the last few pages because that was when the name calling and the liberal "mud-slinging" started.

The UHC was a great, lively discussion with a lot of great input.

Too bad a newer member (with less than 25 posts) can make personal attack, after personal attack and as a result, have the entire thread closed.

Let the mods close it for a bit to let everyone chill out. It doesn't matter if it was a new member or not. It was getting out of hand.

Well, it just seemed to be very coincidental that a new member starts personal attacks and then 5-10 posts later, the thread is closed.

It was starting to get hairy 20 posts before those posts. Let's not assume that just because there was a newer member mudslinging insults that all newer members do that.

it doesn't matter if it was a new member or not.

it's unfortunate when we can't debate w/o getting personal and insulting.

it lacks intelligence.

My prediction for this thread is that it's going to be a spin off of the UHC thread. Can't wait for the insults to be posted. (insert sarcasm here)

Tis non-supportive comments like this that keeps nurses divided and threads on this board closed.

I don''t understand why some posters always feel the need for snarky comments, often to new members or when flames being tossed by a member..... gets real old quite soon.

Our agenda at AN is to be supportive of the profession, work to make positive changes and help the next generation avoid some of our landmines, along with sharing our passion about the profession.

Please keep that in mind when posting...or find another place to play.

Geez, no kidding. I just posted that I was discouraged that a thread was closed.......and that I noticed a pattern.

Good grief.

I apologize for my comments. However, I do not feel that they were non-supportive. I was just being sarcastic. I enjoy a good debate any day. I was just a bit disappointed with how that other thread turned out. Sorry to have offended anyone.

Sure. Gees, I was only joking. Next time I'll indicate when I'm being sarcastic so I won't be snipped at. I didn't really think it was non-supportive. I could think of another comment that was non-supportive but whatever. I'm over it.Yikes.

It's hard to discern emotion through the written word - especially on message boards and on the internet.

It may have very well been un-intentional ... but it's hard to tell otherwise. Please try and understand :)

cheers,

PS: Technically, this thread is against the ToS anyhow ;):
