Nurses General Nursing

i'm thinking of studying nursing but i am not tall. i stand just 4 feet and 11 inches. Will it matter when i apply for a job?

wow thanks... that's really a comfort :) what year are you now in nursing?
I'm in LPN school. I graduate (fingers crossed) June 08.

Not to worry nicepanda, nursing is about skill, not build, once you have that license in your hand they can't resist you. I have seen lots of tiny nurses! Good Luck!

It's a profession.
I used to work with a nurse about the size of a 10-12 year old boy. In fact she bought her clothes in the boys department.
What matters most is what's in your head.

Hey there! Go for it- I am 5 foot even, and weigh 105 lbs. Sometimes I cant reach the top of the linen cart for extra pillows, but thats what fellow nurses are for!
Btw, I get the "Oh you cant move me, get someone else" line alot, as well as the "Oh, well just how tall are ya, honey?"
