I am considering getting my CEU's online. I have always done it throught the mail and I thought I might try online courses. Has anyone gotten their CEU's online? How did it go?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

I've found a place you can do one a month for free. They also offer other courses for fees. Check it out at http://www.nursingcenter.com.
All you have to do to get the free CE's is register. It's painless.
Oh, and another that has many free CE's.

Just click the course link and then search all categories.
Some of the things posted there are expired, so check the dates so you can get your certificate. I've done a few from this site. They're pretty good.

My facility offers free CEU's thru a paid subscription plan with Texas Tech. I view it monthly. They show a video, then ask questions, request evaluation and then allow you to print certificate. Usually 1-1/12 hrs at a time.

Hours vary according to state to state. Check out your state board of nursing for details. They are also on this website giving the hours needed per state. Contact hours are given and each classs is only $4.95 ! Check it out.

These will link you up to sites with tons of free CEU's. I've had good experience with these. You might need to contact your state BON to make sure they accept the ones you pick, though. And make sure you print out the certificates that state you took them and passed. Good luck!

I do online CEUs all the time. You can find lots of free ones available online. I have a Texas License, so we're required to have 20CEUs before we can renew our license. Try the Drug companies, and Baxter has free CEUs also, and you print the certificate as soon as you finish. Right now they have a whole list of CEUs, with most having at least 1 to 1.5, and even 2CEUs for each one. All for FREE!
Last year I only had to pay for one CEU course, and got all of the rest for free! And yes the board did accept them:D There are some that are for California only. Here is the link;http://www.baxter.com/doctors/blood_therapies/fenwal/index.html
