Just applied for a PA program

I like nursing, but I know it's not something I want to do forever. The part that I hate about nursing is the politics, and also for the most part I find most nurses (mainly female nurses) to be the most vindictive, whiny, complaining people on the face of this earth. I believe it's b/c they are burned out and miserable. Sorry, work is my home away from home, I can't imagine dealing with this for the next 40 years that I have to work.

So yea, I applied for a PA program. When I'm done I plan on working at a clinic, usually under one doctor. The PA's I have talked to, 2 of them are former nurses, tell me that it is a different world.

Wish me luck with getting accepted. I have a plan if I am. I will work agency one day/week, probably Saturdays, for 12 hours. That monthly income should cover my car and insurance, plus a little more (agency pays very well). The rest of my expenses will be paid via Student loans. I will be moving back home, so at least I won't have rent, but I plan on chipping in for utilities and my own groeceris, etc, etc.

J/W Why not apply for a NP program, rather than a PA program? This way, in most states you can run your own clinic, rather than work under a physician.
