Employment Status: Withdrawn?

What exactly does it mean when next to your employment status it states: Withdrawn? I have never heard of that before.......

You might call and say, "Remember we discussed that I'm cleared to return to work on Monday. I'm looking forward to seeing you all!" If you have been in daily contact, then they presumably know that you have return to work date (you probably have a note from your treating physician for that purpose, and they probably want to see it), and would have said something if they didn't want to see your smiling face at 0700. :)

And I wasn't being rude. I just had no idea whatsoever what you were talking about and asked for specifics. Thanks for the update, and good luck! Let us know what happens!

Unless, you can contact someone before Monday, you will just have to stew.

Good luck.

No worries GrnTea...and I am so sorry for snapping. I have been so stressed. I just received a certified letter stating my position was terminated. I feel so low on myself. Back into the job hunt :( I was given no warning from my management or HR....this feeling is horrible :(

Were you on an approved FLMA?

OP had only been at the job for 2 months, so whatever leave (if any) she was on, it wasn't FMLA.

Also of the office she works for is less than 50 employees it doesn't apply.

I am sorry Heather ((HUGS))

Looks like an automatic termination. Many companies do so regardless if on a valid medical leave or just not available. Your manager may not have realized if the company has an. "Automatic Term" policy. In guessing not too common to have an employee need medical leave after two months employment. My one office is no shifts worked in 60 days = automatic termination unless on FMLA.

Thank you for the hugs....all I can do is hold me head high and get on the job hunt. It is hard to be positive but I must try to be successful :)

If you did well in the short time you were there, perhaps your manager would be willing to write you a nice letter of recommendation. Particularly if she, too, was blindsided by your termination. If they have re-posted your position, then reapply. If they just decided that while you were gone they didn't need anyone in that position, that's another matter.

Good luck!

Thank You....I did get quite a few compliments while I was there. Maybe I should ask about recommendations. :) I wont be defeated!

my work email account has been disabled. I am thinking this means they have terminated/pulled my position. I am due to go back to work Monday and mentally preparing myself.[

I'm puzzled.

You also stated you have been in regular contact with your employer. Did you have a recent conversation where at least one of you said, "I'll see you on Monday," And the other person said "ok?"

Were you on ST/LT diasabilty? Did you comply with all provisions?

it it all sounds very odd if your manager is expecting you and you are also being terminated. I'd suggest calling re-reading the letter carefully, and if possible, get a hold of the manager by phone and ask if you are supposed to come to work Monday.

Good luck to you

It wouldn't surprise me if your manager knew all along she was filling your spot, despite you keeping in touch with her. She was probably trying to gauge if you saw your position being advertised.

Definitely get back on the saddle. I think I remember you from the PH forum. When one door closes...
