  1. I actually kept tabs on their job postings/positions and mine was never posted. They actually took down a bunch of open positions they were hiring for.....almost as if the budget wouldnt allow. I was not eligible for ST/LT disability benefits due to my short length of employment. I did tell her I would be there Monday and she said OK. I try to contact her and get no response. The letter tells me to contact her to set up a time regarding collecting my personal items from my office & turning in my ID. this past week she even asked me to email her copies of all my doctors notes so she could update my file.
  2. Thank You....I did get quite a few compliments while I was there. Maybe I should ask about recommendations. :) I wont be defeated!
  3. Thank you for the hugs....all I can do is hold me head high and get on the job hunt. It is hard to be positive but I must try to be successful :)
  4. No worries GrnTea...and I am so sorry for snapping. I have been so stressed. I just received a certified letter stating my position was terminated. I feel so low on myself. Back into the job hunt I was given no warning from my management or HR....this feeling is horrible
  5. I did but my manager asked me to either text or email her updates. She just wanted to be kept in the loop. Sometimes it was every other day or few days. She was informed though on a regular basis.
  6. I kept in contact with my manager and HR on a daily basis. Our email servers were also changed and passwords do expire, locking us out. I guess I will find out on Monday....they should have at least told me before I was due to return.
  7. No need to be rude GrnTea. I see this on my own HR website for the company I work for. And they way I stated it is exactly how it is written out under Employment Verification on my employee portal/HR website. To make a long story short, 2 months into a new job, I had to have hip surgery. I only expected to be out 2 weeks but that turned into 2 months. my work email account has been disabled. I am thinking this means they have terminated/pulled my position. I am due to go back to work Monday and mentally preparing myself.
  8. When you request employment verification and it states: employment status: withdrawn.
  9. What exactly does it mean when next to your employment status it states: Withdrawn? I have never heard of that before.......
  10. I was a nanny :) Good money and a lot of fun!
  11. This has happened to me....think of it as being flattering
  12. I am not a hospital nurse....I work in a public health department M-F 8:30am-5pm :) Hospital nursing hours just did not work out for me.
  13. You need a healthy body to take care of your patients. They do not want you sharing those germs. Do not feel guilty!!
  14. I have been out of work for 3 weeks after catching the flu and a severe upper respiratory infection that landed me in the hospital. I am a severe asthmatic and it was very scary and of course I JUST started this new job.....talk about guilt. But then I realized that there is only ONE me and I have to take care of that me. Doctor told me I could not return to work until the wheezing stopped, and my new coworkers definitely didnt want me sharing. I work in a pediatrics office and I am not going to share these germs with the kiddos.....you have to use common sense.
