- 0Mar 3, '13 by applewhiternI hope to retire at 65; I am 56 now. Not to Key West, tho. Key West is nice, but not all that nice. I guess since I have lived in Florida, and many years on the beach, I don't get all that excited about it anymore! Give me a place with 4 seasons. Key West has one, unless you want to count Hurricane season, too! I am very, very worried about Medicare. I just heard again on the news last night that Medicare will be completely broke in 8 years. Not to be a pessimist, but I don't think I will be able to afford any other insurance at that time of my life. I had cash in almost all of my retirement to pay for astronomical medical bills and other continued healthcare. I have worked since I was 13 years old. I am ready to retire!

Too bad I have 1,2,3....41 years until that happen, ugh, now I feel sick.
