Hi,

I just started reading this book "Chicken Soup for the Nurses Soul". It is an inspirational type series. They have books that contain snippets and stories on a variety of topics (ie: Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul, "....for the Teen's Soul", etc..)

I am loving it a lot. It helps to read stories from our "own kind". Some stories are heartwrenching and some are drop dead hilarious. I found my copy at Barnes and Noble in the nursing reference section. Read it CEN, you'll enjoy it!

Hi Kaknurse! I didn't realized it was out already! I have ready just about every Chicken Soup book and loved them all. I am going to run out to Barnes and Noble today to get a copy. Thanks for posting!!!

Yes, it's a great book! I have a copy. All kinds of stories from fun to cute to touching. Highly recommend it.

Hi Kaknurse! Thanks for letting me know that the book is out. I heard about it a few months ago and have been looking forward to getting my hands on it ever since. The Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul ones get me every time. My hubby cannot understand why I would sit there and read story after story with tears streaming down my face. They just kill me!

The Chicken Soup for the Soul series has been around for almost 10 years now. When they first started publishing them, they were "general" in nature. I own about 12 copies of various editions. I have the first six original Chicken Soup's which they stopped publishing in 1996--you can still get them at Barnes and Noble and bookstores. They have Chicken Soup for the fathers soul, the Mothers SOul, the Woman's Soul, the Golden Soul, the Couple's Soul, the Singles soul, the Gardeners Soul, the Teenager's Soul, the Kid's Soul, the Veteran's Soul, the College Soul, the Soul at Work, the Unsinkable Soul, the Christian Soul, the Chrisitan Families Soul, the Golfer's Soul, the Survivor's Soul, the Writers Soul, the Expectant Mothr's Soul,the Parents Soul etc..you get the idea.

Basically they are short stories about whatever that are touching and some are humorous in nature. Most of them are Very heart warming and a lot have brought tears to my eyes.

I am a sappy kind of girl and LOVE readin and re-reading them over and over again!

Like I said earlier, I highly recommend the Nurses Soul Book. They are relatively inexpensive at 12.95 each, but you can get em a WalMart for 9 bucks.
