I'm a working (thank God) RN, but that would hurt anyone's budget.

My husband and I together pay double that! We had zero help for school and also had to take out private loans. And out in Boston, we have about 1/4 of what a lot of students have out, many we know have over $400,000 from BU or BC, Harvard etc and don't pay their loans because they are unable to

Thanks for putting that out there. This is why I'm still competing for a spot at the local CC for my RN degree. Hopefully I will get my letter this week :)! Also is that $770 for the next 30 years???

Sweet lord that's practically a mortgage payment! I worked two jobs and paid for my schooling out of my own pocket. I did not qualify for financial aid, and got no assistance from my parents. I went to a public school and next month starting a LPN to RN program at a community college.

I know the pain of going to a private college. I pay $525 a month for my student loans. My parents income was too much (was still claimed on their taxes since I lived at home) to help me get more for financial aid, so most of my loans are private. Good thing is I already have one paid off since it was my smallest amount loan.

It is good you are trying to warn people. When some of us say anything about people taking too much loan debt we sametimes receive angry responses. So glad you found work!
