PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

Hi all… I am applying for spring 2015 at phsc. I currently go to porter campus. I applied for fall 2014 and got an alternate letter… I was so close! Well no spots ever became available so here I am applying for spring. I am retaking my TEAS to hopefully get a higher score. I have an 18 month old son and a husband so that complicates things for sure but we all have our struggles in some way or another! I wish you all luck and hope that they decided to open 100 seats this year and lets us all in lol!

Hey guys! I am also applying for Spring 2015. I have 3 little ones 5 , 3.5 and 1. My gpa is a 3.5 and I take my teas on Thursday! So nervous.

Hey Ladies,

Sorry I haven't been active! I've been super busy with my son, and trying to study for my next TEAS test on Sept 2nd! My first TEAS I got a 65, which I am not at ALL happy with. I ran out of time with the math part, and the science part questions were a bit tricky. Now that I know what to expect on the test and what I needed to work on, hopefully it'll be a bit easier.

How was the retake?? Breathe, you did it!!!! Was it anything like the first time??

I take the TEAS on the 4th!

Has anyone took the test again and what was the score?

Was it easy after studying cause ive studied so much but im still extremely nervous!

sorry i meant to tag @withvalor ^^^^ i dont know how to edit that post

Hey guys!im applying for the RN program for spring 2015!! i'm a mix bag a emotions! lol I have a good GPA 3.9 but kind of a low TEAS score 68...I of course waited to long to take the TEAS for the first time so i have to just go with the flow and submit my scores!! i keep hearing less people apply for the spring program so that make me hopeful!!! is it true that transition students cannot apply for the spring? like the paramedic transition and so on?

Is anyone looking at any other school is PHSC doesn't work out?

Hello heather.rodgers88, If the 3.9 is a pre req gpa and you are a resident then You will most likely get in seeing as your composite score is a 82.875% I heard some people in the fall got in with an 80% and it's harder to get in during the fall. Goodluck to everyone here. Btw My composite score is a little lower 81.76%. For future posting Please include Your Pre req GPA, Teas scores, and if you are a resident of Pasco/Hernando county
