Check out the front page of CNN. it just says it's a health care worker-I'll bet its another nurse.

This is CRAZY!!! C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!

She called the CDC and ASKED them???? What?????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I was just watching CNN. The nurse Kady Roemer... (I think that is her name?) She made a very strong statement about how nurses have the RIGHT to demand appropriate protective wear... omg! they practically cut her off... went to someone else, then told her, 'oh sorry we don't have time to talk to you any more!'

I smell a rat. I smell a big fat ugly stinky smelly rat. Wow!

How prepared are hospitals, doctors and nurses to handle Ebola cases in the United States, and what measures should be taken to increase safety? Judy Woodruff gets an assessment from Dr. Howard Markel of the University of Michigan and Katy Roemer RN of National Nurses United.

I think "Just put some tape on it" is now the newest nurse's meme.

Good Lord almighty.

I loved Gupta's commentary on CNN tonight regarding the tape: "Here is the tape. They told the nurses to tape their necks, but I won't go so far as to demonstrate it as it is rather... ridiculous."

Yes, I just saw that, I wanted to hug him for pointing out how ridiculous it was.

Sad thing is, we've been asked to do equally ridiculous things if we've been nurses long enough.

Hypothetical Question: What about the restroom facilities at the airport? If she used the restroom at the airport after her flight, would that toilet be contaminated and for how long?

I think we need to ask Doctors without Borders to come handle this. They know what they are doing.

I think DWB/MSF is plenty occupied dealing with the thousands of West Africans who have Ebola.

If we are serious about stopping the spread of Ebola, we need to start in West Africa. DWB has repeatedly said they do not have the funds to provide the care necessary.

THIS.

It does no good parroting information that MAY not be true.

Waiting for a more in-depth, factual story; avoiding sound bites and ever changing information from whisper-down-the-lane tactics from a news source that has been laughable for years.

I think that now that the CDC admits to advising her to fly, it proves she did her due diligence in seeking advice by what we all thought were the 'authorities'. My respect for her went WAY up.

if she cared for a ebola patient less than 2 weeks ago....wouldnt she be concerned that she could still be in incubation period? or that even if she was asymptomatic , she could be infectious?

if it were me , knowing that i had just cared for an ebola patient, and my coworker got infected, i would definately not be going about in crowded places like an airplane.

the fact that she called CDC several times, seems like she knew something wasnt quite right. Always question things, even if they are "authorities".
