If anyone has any advice to share, feel free! Thanks!!

Rember to breath and relax... It's really not that hard. On the written part you should do really well... On the skills part just rember to knock on door, intro, provide privacy, wash hands and then begin steps... Just think about all the steps as you are doing them and you'll do just find.... good luck... keep us updated

Just be in what I like to call, "the now zone". Contemplate the steps of what you are to do now (while it is happening).

Also, add some humor to your thoughts if you feel anxious by imagining the test giver as being dressed in only underwear.

Best wishes to you! We'll be congratulating you soon!

I just took mine on Tuesday and passed! My advice is to take your time!!! It really helps to imagine you are in the facility where you did your clinicals, and that it's a real resident. I know I'm one that rushes when I get nervous, just keep reminding yourself to slow down and think everything through. Before you tell the tester that you are done, look around, recount the steps in your head to make sure you didn't miss anything. The girl I was partnered with did her skills first, and she failed right off the bat for forgetting to wash her hands after the first skill (pulse). It was so hard as a patient to just lay there while she finished the entire test knowing that she had failed. But it also helped me, when it was my turn to do skills, when I was finished I would put my hands together before recounting the steps in my head, and once I was sure I had done everything, my hands together was a reminder that I still had to wash them before I said I'm done.

Good luck to you! It's not as bad as we all think it is, just take your time, don't rush, and you'll do great!

:yeahthat:You will do fine and I'll be praying for you!! You can do it!!!!!:anpom:

Remember to "Prioritize First." Read each question carefully, and try not to re-read the question over again. Focus on what the question is really asking. You may need to re-word the question in order for it to make sense in your own words.

Avoid vague answers. Look for adjectives and adberbs.

Watch out for grammatical inconsistencies: The subjects should agree with the verb.

Good luck!

Ok, I had my CNA exam today!!!! I was just so afraid that I might fail the test. But I passed it!!!! The written test was really easy one. The skill part was probably the most anxious and difficult part for me. I had: handwashing, blood pressure (oh my god, I had to do it twice, but the instructor let me do it), feeding the client, fingernail care, and ROM for knee and ankle. I was running out of time, but I made it.

I wish all good luck to you!

Breath!!! Remember to breath! Take a break every hour no matter what. Get up go pee, do some jumping jacks; get all the blood that settled in your butt from sitting back into your head:bugeyes: Take your time on each question and if you have never heard of it before try to at least eliminate the answers in can not be. If you studied enough you'll do great. If you get fumbled take a few minutes to breath, read the question several times, write out key words, figure out what the question is really asking you.
