I got the hospice job!

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Specializes in hospice.

After two weeks and three interviews, I was offered a job on Friday evening! I am so excited. I am very hopeful as I believe from everything I have experienced so far that the culture at my future employer is vastly different from the one at my current employer, and I think I will be much happier there.

Getting through the challenge of mostly day shift orientation will, I think, turn out to be worth it in the end. (I work night shift because it's just so much easier with my family obligations.) I am hoping I have found my long-term home! :-)

I go in Tuesday to finalize my job offer, and will hand in my two weeks that same day. Now I just have to discipline myself and focus on giving good care, even though I am SO emotionally checked out of this place! But I need to be a good CNA, no matter where I work..... I'd be lying though if I said I wasn't happy I have only a couple weeks left here.

Even in this economy, there are other jobs out there.... don't be afraid to look and try to improve your lot, CNAs!

Congratulations and best wishes!

Congratulations!!! Happy for you:yeah:

Hi, I saw that you are a hospice CNA and wanted to ask you what was your hiring start pay? Any differential/overnight shifts? What is a typical day as a hospice CNA?

I am a CNA with five years psychiatric experience and looking to make extra money to help pay for school. Thanks

Congrats girl! so very happy for you!

How do you like working in Hospice?

Here in jersey isn't easy to get a job as hospice aide without experienced as chha or cna experienced . So so bad . Neither hospitals will hire a cna when they only hire chha. You must have a chha training . I strongly feel getting my CHHA certification beside my CNA:arghh:
