O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

I think you both have a really good chance of being in for spring. I bet at least 20 people will decline. I wonder if they will use the standby list to fill in for fall declines or if they will offer those spots to people accepted to spring? Congrats to all of us for getting this far!

Im so excited! Does anyone know whether the nursing program at CCSF follows the regular academic calendar? Such as first day of class, finals week, and spring break? I am assuming they do, but I've never read or heard anything regarding this.

Well, to get an idea of their schedule, look at this year's spring schedule for the nursing program which is posted on the website in the nursing department section.

i received my acceptance letter Friday 4/12/13 from ccsf for spring 2014. do you guys know when our orientation is or will we get a letter after we mail our acceptance? i will be out of the country first two weeks of August and kinda nervous if they might have the orientation then.

No idea. Maybe you will get the info once you submit your TEAS V scores and they establish official acceptance? It's still pretty early, they probably don't have dates yet. If there's someone who been thru the program before, they could probably give us a general timeline. Anyone?

I'm guessing we will be notified as spots become available as offers are declined, people are disqualified due to TEAS V scores, and then lastly if people drop from the program.

But this is really just an educated guess of mine. I'm going to drop off my letter tomorrow in person so maybe I will try to squeeze some details out of them. I will report back! :)

If you are on the standby list they will contact us immediately when a spot becomes available. They said this can happen if people decline their offer, or don't pass the TEAS V. So basically when we are contacted will depend on when these people officially decline or fail the test. Hopefully if people aren't planning to accept the offer they will notify them ASAP so standby people can be notified.
