  1. Has anyone else received a phone call offering them the job? I haven't been called and was hoping they weren't finished making the calls. Like everyone else, I really wanted to get into this program. Also, those who got an offer, are you BSN or ADN?
  2. Yes, I'll be doing the bridge at SFSU. Nowadays it's necessary to have a BSN. I would have gone that route from the beginningg if not for the price. It would have been exponentially more expensive than going the community college ASN route.
  3. @chellessss I'm loving it! It's not easy by any means, but well worth it. It takes dedication and discipline because the stress factor is through the roof most of the time. Congratulations on getting in the program and get ready for wild ride! Good luck :-)
  4. I'm currently in the program and commute from the Concord area. It's actually not bad if you use Bart. The school is across the street from the Balboa Park station. Driving for clinicals is when it sucks.
  5. Thanks for the info about Pharm! I've been so preoccupied with all the background stuff and studying that I hadn't printed out my class schedule. Also, I received my scrubs yesterday :-) which was the only good part of my day because I had to put my beloved chihuahua to sleep yesterday :-(
  6. I just received my ebook bundle in the mail and I'm downloading the books to begin studying today. I won't be getting those other books for a few weeks. Dhe told us we won't need them for at least 2-4 weeks into the semester, so I will buy them when needed. I haven't done my background stuff yet either. Does anyone know if I will have to go to locations in SF for that? I live an hour away, so it's not convenient for me to get out there because I work full time.
  7. I just gave my notice at work today. Hopefully they can keep me part-time because I have to work. If they don't, I'll be trying to find a weekend job.
  8. That's a good question. Sorry that I don't know the answer. I took a dosage calculation and pharmacology class already, so it's annoying that I have to buy those books again (albeit I think they are different books). I'm just getting the ebooks because I don't have money for both hard copy & ebook. I am, however, wondering which tablet/laptop to get knowing that we need mozilla and probably access to microsoft office. I don't recall them mentioning Office, but I don't know that a good report can be formatted without it.
  9. Great seeing you all at orientation today, even though I don't know who you are! I got my ID card after, so now I feel really official :-) See you all on the13th!
  10. Yup, I picked up my packet last Tues :-) I have signed up for 2 of the classes, but it wouldn't let me register for the last one (section 31162). Did that happen for you? My uniform fitting is at 9:30. What times does everyone have? I can't wait to meet everyone!
  11. I got the email too. I'm bummed the packets have to be picked up instead of mailed since I'll have to take time off work to do that, but at least we finally heard :-)
  12. I didn't get a registration email. :-/
  13. Yes, I read it. Seems those who are 75% done by summer 2014 will graduate with an RN degree from CCSF. After that, they do not say anything concrete about the other existing nursing students which is what I was worried about. Starcat, I am very curious to know what they told your class about what will happen if they lose accreditation, because they will tell us the same. Like many people, I assume, I can't make a decision on a whim.
