U.S.A. California

Published

This thread is for those who are aspiring a seat in CSU Long Beach's School of Nursing for Fall 2010.

We all know the current impaction of the program. We are all familiar with the challenging process.

We understand the competition between all the applicants. You are not alone!

I submitted my application yesterday and I must tell you the relief I suddenly had.

I have worked hard the past two years of my life and there is nothing else I can do but pray and hope. =]

Has anyone else turned in their application?

hey guys, btw, are the interviews going to be in the Nursing building? I totally forgot...

The interviews will be held in room 26 in the nursing building?? By the way, do you have any idea what the interviews will about....anything we should prepare for ?

I wish the best luck to everyone including myself!!!!@@

this is what i heard about the interviews:

theyre basically communications exercises..you watch a movie then apparently write a short paragraph about something about the movie...then you do one on one exercises with a partner...

that's what i heard anyways...

but the lady on the phone today said that out of the 110 they selected, 90 will get in which is a huge percentage!! So I'm pretty sure we'll all be okay!

Specializes in Ambulatory.

The interview will be held in room 26, inside the nursing building that's on Beach Drive..correct?

Specializes in Family Nursing & Psychiatry.

Yup! That sounds about right! I'm very much excited and anxious to do this interview! Congratulations in everyone who got a request to make an appointment! After you guys complete yor interviews, PLEASE share your experiences with us on this thread! I'm sure present and future applicants to CSULB's SON are very curious of what happens in Room 26 during the Nursing interviews. =P

Hi I also got an email from csulb telling me to schedule an appointment for the nursing program. I don't know what to expect. My appointment is on March 9 at 1 pm. Does anyone know how many people applied to the nursing program for the fall of 2010?

wait 9,000 ? or 900???

Okay, reading the previous posts, it all seems like you guys are as antsy as I am about finding out about getting in! I'm also going to be a transfer student from ELAC. Do they call everyone back for an interview or only the people with a good chance of getting in? I haven't gotten into csulb yet since the deadline for my transcripts is march 9. However, I did get into csula. I applied to csula and csulb but would prefer to go to csulb because I don't want to commute. GOOD LUCK ON THE INTERVIEW GUYS AND TELL ME HOW IT GOES (:

out of the couple hundred that applied to the nursing program, they called back 110 for the interview and from there they're only taking 90..so yea, it is a big deal to get an interview

but the lady on the phone today said that out of the 110 they selected, 90 will get in which is a huge percentage!! So I'm pretty sure we'll all be okay!

Plus, you got to consider there will probably be a few people who got accepted and decline. So those went to the interview, but didn't get accepted have a good change of getting accepted.

yeap..thats why they have an alternate list!
