Chamberlain College of Nursing BSN Program

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hello!! I just joined this site today because I was recently accepted into Chamberlain College of Nursing, I am scheduled to begin classes on March 1st and I was wondering if anyone else is going to Chamberlain and also if anyone has heard anything (good or bad) about this school. I am very excited to start and I think that the most appealing thing about this school is that there isn't a wait list... I applied in August, was accepted in October and I am beginning in March. It is quite expensive but I think (or at least hope) that it is worth it. Also instead of doing the ADN, I have decided to do the BSN, any comments?? Advice?

Thanks for your input. I am going to call both Chamberlain and some grad schools to determine the acceptance of their BSN. I'll post what I found out when I get the chance

I've posted a blog but unable to open the responses, I've received. Is any one else having this problem. I'm fairly new to this site.

Question of admission requirements for phoenix chamberlain bsn program: If I have 77% on the Hesi and 2.75 GPA, just a hair above the borderline basic requirements, do I have a remote chance in hell of being accepted? Just wondering.....

hey sarrah just wanted to know what kind of essay question they hit you with for entrance? I heard they base alot on accepting you from that essay?

hello, I will be starting Chamberlain in a week. Am a little worried its been a long time since I have gone back to school. I am taking SOC 350. How hard is this class.

Hi everyone,

I just got accepted to the Phoenix campus for the July start! I'm really excited but a little nervous too. Any advice? I already have a BS so Im hoping a lot of my classes will transfer over, but iv'e heard they give you a lot of trouble with that. I'm hoping they will count enough of my units so I can finish in two years...

I actually enjoy Chamberlain. I am finishing up my BSN this Summer B session and Im going for my MSN. I have no problems initally.

I was wondering if anyone was having the same problems with admissions as I am. I academic advisor never answers the phone, emails, faxes, etc. I cant even get the front desk to answer the phone. Im beginning to think that maybe this school is not the smart choice. I already have all of the pre-reqs completed as well as some of the nursing classes. I wish that I wouldnt have already paid the fees and passed all of the admission tests they require yu to pass. I even spoke with my advisor regarding these issues and she said that she couldnt even tell me if this was the norm or if the customer service improves throughout the school year. I told her about the bad comments regarding the school and she continued to tell me..."Well, you cant make everyone happy, Im doing all that I can do, it may not be my best but thats all you are getting" Now PLEASE tell me that everyone that works at this school is NOT like this. I have a friend that has the same advisor and she said she was awful to her too. Im hoping that it is just this one person. The sad thing is that this person is the one that decides when or even whether or not she is going to put my file in front of the admissions board. Therefore, I probably should be looking for a different school. Has anyone had the same experience? Has anyone had a better experience? If Im going to invest this kind of money in my education I want ot make sure the right people are getting my money. ANY ADVICE????

I have not had that experience at all! Who is your advisor? Mine answers my emails by the next day at the latest. Are you applying for July or October class? I am applying for October and I know that they haven't looked at mine b/c they are still trying to fill the July class and make those decisions first. I am sorry you are having such a hard time, but maybe you could switch advisors? Good Luck to you.

Hi all...I am new to this post. I was just wondering if anyone could help give me some much needed advise. After all is said and done I have been accepted to the BSN July start program at Chamberlain :nurse: I was also accepted to NAU fall start and am waiting to hear back from Grand Canyon (who has already rejected me for the May fast track, I had really thought I had what it took to be accepted). I am an adult and time is of the essence. NAU would have been great if I had not been accepted anywhere else, I also live in Phoenix. Their program unfortunately lasts around 1/2 year longer that the other two. I figure I will be working with my BSN making up the money that I invent in one of the other two programs without having to re-locate. I just don't want to make anymore mistakes regarding my education. Chamberlain has acted warm and welcoming towards me, I had expected GCU to do this as well....they have been nonexistent. Does GCU have a better reputation or will I be fine with Chamberlain?? I really feel that the person makes the most of their education. That being said for the price of this education I would really love some feedback on the schools.

Thank you for anyone who reads this and responds...it is such a BIG decision that I hate to not weigh all sides of the coin.

Hi Teddy,

I just moved to the phoenix arizona in hopes of attending GCU,and my world has flipped around and i would never recommend GCU to anyone. Epspecially if you wish to receive fafsa help. That whole department is just all screwed up and they told me I didnt owe anything and that I had nothing to worry about then I fine out that was a mistake. So i was very patient with them and was worried on how I was going to afford going to GCU, i got approved for az grants that took my advisor so long to take care of. I ended up being put in collections by gcu because of my advisor even though he threw me in the pile of papers not to be put in collections. I did get out of collections 2 weeks later because they did fix it. This was my own personal experience just doing pre reqs during the summer, I will never think twice of going there again. This same thing happened to my friend but a lot worse. I read so many bad reviews on gcu but still ignored them I told myself I had to see for myself. Man have I learned my lesson.

I also just got accepted into chamberlain college of nursing in the phx area, and so far am very happy about it :), Im due to start in July.

Hello I am also applying to Chamberlain for this upcoming fall BSN program. If anyone doesn't mind telling me because i am such a nervous wreck what there GPA was and HESi score. I have an average of 2.89 and haven't taken my HESI test!! With my GPA do you think i would have to score high on the HESI exam???

Thank You
