i have a bs, but not in nursing, and also a master's, but not in nursing.......
and it really makes no difference.
suzanne, rn, bs, mba and there has never been any issue with it.
many more science courses than with the bsn.
but please, let's stick to the original post of this thread and not go off-topic.
thank you in advance. if you want to focus on another topic, start a new thread.

BS in Biology with emphasis in physiology, and Master's of Business Administratioin
And yes, you can write .........RN, BS.
But when at work, and signing paper after paper, you will onlky use the RN, or your arm will kill you at the end of the day.
I only use the titles at work, when signing specific documents that warrant it. In a daily, routine basis, takes too much time.

Hi,
Does the fact that they say that the limit for nursing immigrant visa has been nearly reached have an effect on the AOD/EAD? Thanks

big time.
if visas are not current, then immigration will be unable to accept a petition for the adjustment of status, and the ead. they will only be accepting the i-140, which will not do you any good in terms of being able to work.
i expect to see a notice put out by uscis in the next couple of days that all visas are exhausted and that the petitions for ead and aos will no longer be accepted. should happen well before the end of the month.

When petitions are no longer accepted will it affect the status of the applicant as a visitor or Does it only affect applicants only when petition is denied?

Doesn't matter. Once no visas available to allocate whether in the US or abroad it becomes a waiting game. No one knows how long it will last and if in the US with a tourist visa you have to leave before it expires if retrogression is still in force or you will be liable for a ban which in turn will affect your green card process.

hi suzzne4
could you tell me where we can see this kind of notice if they run out of visa????
did this also happen last retrogression???
Can anyone help. Did I just do the right thing? I am on a tourist visa and have been here for 67 days my petition was filed yesterday. If the petition will not be accepted or if denied what will happen to my tourist visa? Will it be cancelled? Can I still file for an extension of stay (my stay expires on feb 07)? Planning to extend stay to wait till visa numbers are available. Inputs needed....
Big mistake to extend tourist visa and I don't think you extend, if you haven't got sorted you will have to leave the US you will jeopardise you chances on staying and increase option of a ban if overstay

i think you made it if your petition was filed yesterday. i know your tourist visa is void as soon as you apply for aos. you shouldnt apply for extension bec they rarely approve them now.
Thanks for the replies you indeed cleared some things up. More power to you. I just hope that my petition would be good so I don't have to go back home. Thanks again.
