This one just made me laugh but at the same time it's depressing.
We all have been asked medical questions by friends and family. Do you remember the weirdest question, place, or time that it was asked?

- Jul 27, '12 by modgoth1That is funny. My mother is constantly asking me medical questions, mainly pertaining to her own health. When I give her the answers she doesn't seem to believe what I'm telling her. So don't ask then!! My kids ask medical questions all the time too, like "what is this red dot on me" or "why did my arm just hurt for no reason" - heck if I know, it could be many things or nothing really. They then say "well you're a nurse why don't you know what it is."
- Jul 27, '12 by DizzyLizzyNurseA couple times I've heard "I have this funny rash..." or "I have this funny discharge..."
NO I don't want to see it!! Go to your doctor!! - Jul 27, '12 by lockheart678I've gotten a few questions from my family, but nothing really major. I've been lucky to escape the random people that see me in scrubs as well. Most of my coworkers have stories that involve being at a store and some weirdo just comes up to them and starts asking really personal questions, like the stuff about discharge or a rash in a place nobody should know about except your doctor. I can't believe people actually have the gall to do that, but they sure do make hilarious stories.
- Jul 27, '12 by MrsCuocoA girl I work with in an Italian restaurant asked me the other day if it was possible for a dog and cat to mate and have offspring because her neighbor's cat just had kittens and one looks suspiciously like a dog.
This girl is a college graduate and owned her own oil and gas company for 6 years. I couldn't believe she was asking me such a thing. I just blinked and said that noooo, it wasn't possible because they have different DNA.
I've also had guests I serve find out I am about to be a nursing student and ask me strange medical questions. A...I haven't even started school yet, and B...ask your doctor, not a waitress! - Jul 27, '12 by itsnoworneverQuote from modgoth1My son wanted to know if his hang nail could stab someone in the brain if he fell from a tree and poked them. I gave him a goofy look and said, "I dont know!" and he said, "well, you are a nurse, or almost, right?" "Yes" he replied with, "Then you should know everything about how people can die"...really kid? That is funny. My mother is constantly asking me medical questions, mainly pertaining to her own health.
