Can you put an orthotic into this type of shoe? Thanks Sandy (severe case of plantar fasciitis- Not responding to conservative treatment)

yes you can put an orthotic in them but you often don't need them as they have wonderful arch support

I look at my Z-Coils as "preventive care".

I'd rather spend $200 today for a pair and avoid getting bad feet than shell out hundreds REGULARLY 10 years down the line to some podiatrist!

Plus, the company has "listened" to our requests - many nurses complained that the coil used to interfere with tubing and lines -- -so they have introduced an "enclosed" coil system. Anyone who has z-coils without the enclosed system can simply get it replaced for the enclosed coils! They "look" just like "regular" shoes now!

cheers,

Roy (Happy owner of a basic z-coil pair).

Roy: Where did you purchase them? Does the insertt come out so you can put your orthotics in them? Thanks sandy

You can buy them at a Z Coil store. Check their web site for locations. http://www.zcoil.com/ The staff at the stores are very knowledgeable about foot and body mechanics, and are extremely helpful. The inserts come out. I have orthotics in mine. Strange, but wonderful shoes!
