If you're on this forum then it means that you haven't 100% given up on nursing yet. Maybe you're exhausted and looking for hope and alternatives or a place to vent. Burnout is everywhere across the country. Toxic work environments, unsafe patient ratios, unsafe practices, bullying, abuse , and not enough pay for the amount of damage being done to your body, mind, and soul.
I want to want to know what's your dream nursing job and what are the barriers you're facing to get there? Do you need more experience or education to get that job? Are you actually unsure what your dream job is? Is nursing not what you expected? Do you feel completely unprepared as a new grad? Are you having difficulties finding that job? I'd love to hear your thoughts. I hope you all are well ❤️?

Interesting. Nice to see someone enjoying their work . How did you get into medical device development?
Honestly I simply applied. Industry actually has a hard time recruiting nurses because most do not think about it, those that do treat it like a clinical job so their resume looks terrible and they interview terribly, and the others are angry, afraid to give presentations, etc.
Lots of good gigs away from the bedside.

My SIL ran a doggie day care, found a needlepoint canvas that I stitched for her, completed canvas featured by my needlepoint shop. She had built the business up to 15 daily borded dogs only to have owners close at 1 year mark due to lack of grooming $$$.

That's not a "dream nursing job" but a nice dream...but if it happens sign me up. LOL
This ^^^
Believe me, with some of the "babysitting" that I've done in my career, it's in the realm. Plus all of the doggie daycares in my area will admin the dogs meds etc, so I felt that it qualified ☺️
if I have to have a traditional nursing job, I guess I'm doing it in my dialysis clinic. It just fits my personality

Because I like animals, and I think it would be interesting to assist with surgical procedures.
