Please excuse my post. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I just didn't enjoy pdn that well. I had great kiddos though

I totally get what you meant and knew you weren't trying to offend :) I used to feel that way at one of the first PDN cases I worked. It was tough.

That is so sweet! I want to be that type of support, I think I can with the wonderful single mom I'm working for now. I love doing little things to help brighten their day (4 kiddos) professional boundaries or not.

Speaking of which, one of the things I did was bring in a cute wicker basket for all the nurses on the case. They can stash their stuff in it and I included snacks, puzzle books, a few older books I had on nursing (Chicken Soup type books) I know mom was touched because she wants to do things like this but it's a tight in situation.

The other primary nurse and I do little things to try to brighten up the patients room, they live in a crowded Apartment w 4 kids and 2 adults.

Oh. So the agency director found out and lectured me. He said if the basket malfunctions (huh?) we can be sued.

I think I'd be willing to take that risk! Your director needs to relax!

On some of my cases, when I've been lucky enough to work with a great team of nurses, we would bring in magazines and leave them for each other.

I am unable to even imagine HOW a basket could 'malfunction'.......
