You or your family member is sick and you bring out the stethoscope to see if you can hear abnormal lung or bowel sounds!

I need another bookshelf! I ran out of room on my tiny bookshelf and I haven't even gotten my ns textbooks yet LOL
- When all you want to get for presents form your family is that book, or the other one, or just a gift card to the book store so they don't have to search for the book themselves...
- When you have a pair of earplugs in every room, as well as your school bag.
- When you don't care what you look like as long as you've got the homework done, and you're ready for the test. I always wonder how some girls look so nice and pretty on test day - you can always tell its test day for me with my lack of makeup and boring outfit LOL.
- When you have a pen on you at all times.
- When you know the schedule of the thee nearest public libraries as well as the one at your school by heart.
- When you use eye drops often... because you never get enough sleep, and your eyes are dry and red.

- When you totally don't care about anything that's going abound in the world (news, celeb, politics)
- When you dream of A&P ?
- When you you have to look in your planner every time someone asks you if you're available... and most of the time the answer in no.

- When you don't really care what you wear as long as you're on time for class and drink coffee before.
- When you always have several snacks in your bag, because you don't know when you'll make it home from the library...
- When you have highlighter everywhere, and there's never enough because you keep running out of them, and paper, and pens,ugh... for me its half sized index cards - seriously before I could find them near my new college, my mom would send them in care packages LOL. sometimes I think I eat the things for dinner, the way I use up the packs
I could go on for a while. and I'm a pre-nursing student this year. I'm starting ns in sept.

you and me both LOL. I'm just like you - a pre-nursing student starting ns in sept, and I already feel like a seasoned vet in a way.

I know, it's weird isn't it? I know I'm not a nurse, but I get so offended when I hear "just a nurse", "nursing school can't be that hard, you're not gonna study to be a MD" etc, etc... Even though I'm not in NS yet, the pre-reqs are not easy, I can just imagine what NS is going to be like...
And my mom already started calling me nurse ? LOL, I'm not, yet, but it's flattering ?
Are in Canada by the way?

- You have a never ending supply of black pens.
- You are always broke. Always.
- When your idea of fun is going to Wal-Mart and buying flash cards in every color.
- When you first meet someone and tell them you're in nursing school, they tell you their entire medical history and what medications they are taking, and if I believe the medications are effective. (True story! haha.)
-You travel with a BP cuff and stethoscope in your car because people are always asking you to take their blood pressure.

Happy early Birthday! I get a lot of my books from half.com Ask them for a gift certificate from there and their gift will go a lot farther! LOL! Seriously, I do get most of my books there - a lot cheaper than at the bookstore. Yes, they're used, but I haven't had any problems yet. I buy the best condition that I can afford, and I try to make sure all the CDs come with it that are supposed to be there. I found a pathophys book at B&N over the weekend that I wanted so bad I almost drooled- so that's my next purchase. For my birthday, I want a rolling bookbag so I can carry those monstrous books to class.

My Mom talks about my "great new career" and I'm like, "I'm not there yet dear LOL"
I'm in the U.S. - originally from Washington state, but I'm going to school in Michigan. Good luck to us both in NS! ?
