I'm sure this has been done before but I figured I'd do it anyway!

You know you're in nursing school when......

Your mind is thinking about so many different things that you actually have to stop and make sure you have on all of your clothes before you leave the house!

there's a commercial here for a school that offers medical assisting. in the commercial they show someone giving chest compressions and he's bending his elbows each time he compresses, and i get annoyed every time i see it. if you're going to offer health care courses, at least show the proper way to give basic CPR!

Seriously agree! I can forgive a medical drama (it is fiction after all) but if you're going to demonstrate something that you're going to teach, please be conscious of details that might haunt you when students begin class.

exactly. they also promote tasks that aren't even in medical assistant's scope of practice.

You know you're in nursing school when you carry flash cards with you in your purse & pull them out while waiting in the drive thru, stop and go traffic, for an oil change, for your next class to start, your doctor to come in and give you your physical............and so on!!!!!!!

Not to be that guy but I have to:

On tv when they are doing compressions, I dont think ANYONE would ever want that done to them while they are still alive, hence why the bend the elbows. Just keep that in mind cause it bothered me too but im like wait a tic.

You know you are in nursing school when you are considered just one of the girls.....uggggggh

I have another one. You know you are a nursing student when you are at the doctors getting your IM injection, you're watching the MA closely just to make sure she aspirates before giving the injection.

You spend your rare and small amount of free time reading AllNurses blogs... :p And absolutely love it! :loveya:
