That's great!! If I get in for Fall 2013 my Cal Grant will be paying for the two years of tuition in FULL Then I will only have to pay for one semester myself (my program has 3 semesters). You are lucky to get the 4k off! :) There are PLENTY of other scholarships out there. I managed to get two which are renewable (one for two years and the other for three) and nominated for another, but I probably could have recieved many more if I was more organized in applying! Just keep looking and the best chances for getting them are of course local!! :)
Congrats!!!!!!

Just received the letter today! My Orientation day will be on 1/18/13 and my first day in class will be 1/22/13. All I need to do is get a couple more shots (Hep A/B...last in the series), turn in proof that I have them and...not sure what happens next. But I have an appointment with "Project Quest" on 1/8/13. I have to sit through a one hour presentation and then take a test that could take 3 hours (a test kinda like the one I took to get admitted into nursing school). If I pass the test, they will provide 4k towards my education.
Anyways, in the meantime I'm searching for other college funds (scholarships and grants) while my start date grows closer. I've been reading the posts on this site for about a couple months now and I look forward to the challenges that I read about here. I'm sure that a lot of times I'm going to be tired, sleepy, hungry and in doubt as I work as a nurse, but from what I can read here and from I've learned from other nurses in my family...it's all going to be worth it!
