2-4 year waiting list?!?

Published

I just got a letter in the mail informing me that that is how long the wait is now. I haven't gotten my number yet. What to do?? I have one pre-req left to go. Should I apply to the LPN program and hope tpo bridge in to the RN program later?? I do not want surgical tech, x ray tech or another field. I want ADN. So frustrating :o

Well, I'm sure someone could be in the same situation now. :D

Yep....can't help from feeling sorry for the old threads. :chuckle

Just like with people, MANY TIMES, WE CAN A BUNCH LEARN FROM THE OLD ONES! :D

Well geeps, I first signed up in Jan. 2002, and now here i am 4 yrs later!! Hard to believe! I will be in the Fall class (RN). :balloons: Yep it took a long time. But the years went by anyway and at least i kept my goal ahead of me. I also started writing a time travel romance (don't get too excited, it'll prob never be published since i am learning so much, i am very VERY SLOW!)

I think the LVN route is the best idea for young students out of high school, but i know you have to get your general ed done too for the diploma RN that most schools are doing now. I am not one of those lucky ones that get A's and B's in Science, so i'm very thankful there are waiting lists and lotteries. I have spoken to many great nurses who were C students through nursing school, who have encouraged me not to give up. Though I do think the A and B students should go in faster. Good to see this thread up again! Heather
