Does anyone know if the 2 year nursing program at the college level is good enough to get a TN visa. After the 2 years is up you are eligible to write the nursing exam and become an RN, just curious to know if it is enough.
Thanks

If you plan to remain in the US, the 2-year associate degree in nursing will suffice.
If you plan to return to your native country to secure employment as an RN, you will be ineligible unless you earn a 4-year degree at the baccalaureate level (bachelor of science in nursing).

Not true. We've had two years RNs from the US working in our hospital but they weren't new grads.
You need to contact the provincial college of nurses and have them assess your education.
So in effective the existing diploma RNs are being "grandfathered" into practice.
The OP might be interested to know that several provinces have a two year diploma for PNs.
Thanks for your replies, i cannot wait to start school.
