hello, all it has been a while since l have been here, so let me tell you the updates...

feed back of my story
i applied for a certain school, lets call it "x" and i was scared right away by my advisor, since she told me that i had to prepare a lot for the net test, and that it was so hard and everything... well some time passed and i actually got my test taken care over, so i come back at her desk... and she says "well you have a good net score, but that does not mean anything once you still have to go trough all the process..." well again i fell like, i was not going to get in... after i got trough all the process of admission i got a call, and she asked me to go to the school. so when i get there, she said, well you have been approved and we are really interested to have you as a student in the school, the only thing is that our program will start in september, and you have to finish your "gen eds" by then so you can start... they actually mistakenly added me to the "major course classes " in september, so there fore i would have to go to school from mo-fri from 5 to 1030 pm! so i could get my "gen eds " starting in april 14th...
well then... i went to a school "y" the one that i was really interested in was only going to take applications for september, since they are still building the school and so forth...
well, still, i went and spoke to the advisor a sweet person... who helped me trough the whole process and was really nice about it, i met with the dean and everything was going smooth... until...
i got a call from my advisor asking to meet me, and then she stated that my wonderlic score was 24 and we needed a 26 in order to get accepted and she was sorry, because she did not know yet the rule on this campus, (the other campuses were wonderlic score 22) and i would not be able to retake the test and blablabla... so we went to speak with the dean, as soon as we got to her office the nursing board director was there, so she still invited me in, and after talking for a whole hour and a half, she said that based on my wonderlic i would not have been approved, but my net test, my meeting with the board, and my overall admission points were more than enough to be a great candidate, then she said, with such a high net score... than she asked me to tell her what was my problem with the wonderlic, i told her, the proverbs!!! i was not born in america, therefore some of those i don't understand!!!, then they laughed at me and said, don't worry, you speak 3 languages... so we spoke a little bit more, and off i went!
got a call this week that i am also approved for the september semester and i can actually choose if i want to start my gen eds now and go for core em september or i could start my gen eds in september...
now.... i am just waiting for my green card to arrive, so i can aply for my loan and get going!
yey 2 aproovals, !!! my green card should arrive in arpil or may!!!

You are going to do great! Congratulations! You have worked so hard to get all the groundwork done. It seems like endless hoops that you have to jump through just to get the application in! I know how that feels.

you dont know how hard it is, when you are dealing with 2 big processes at the same time, applying to school and dealing with immigration situation... i try to do my very best in both, and it seems like the hard work is being paid!!!
i am applying with my A# (yep i got it my a number arrived!!! yeahh!!!)
hopefully financial aid will have no problem with that, since i have always been within good standings... i am still waiting for the interview date so my wife and i can really celebrate when we get me a Green card...
and my classes are supose to start NOW on the 31st actualy (it was supose to be on the 14th)and i will have to take all the GEN eds prior to september it is going to be hard... but i am used to be bashed on so.... it will be just another thing! i am studying A&P already and trying to obtain as much info as possible, since we do have to mantain a 3.0 GPA at all times!!! I can deal with that!

i was just so amazed by the fact that when i asked her about the net Percentile... she said NATION WIDE....
that was just another "injection" of amazing internal happyness flowing in my blood!
i am still very content!
Carlos, I got in! Are you ready to do the dance of joy! LOL
Out of all the people who interviewed today they said they would contact two people right away for early admittance...I was one of the two!
I am soooo excited.
Good luck to you and your family as you continue to work on all the paperwork and jump through all the hoops that are left to finalize your place in school as well as in the states. :nuke:
