Yale 2015

Published

I've never posted here before but I am going to be applying to Yale School of Nursing this fall for a 2015 start in the GEPN program, CNM/WHNP cohort. Wondering if there are others out there preparing to do the same? I'm heading down to their info session next week.

Any word? How did the interview go?

I tried to join 5 days ago, but it's still pending. Any different for you?

I haven't been approved yet either.

I envy all you GEPN students who have heard back already. This wait is awful...

We applied in Nov though! Don't be too jealous!

Hi All--I too, am in the process of applying to YSN. Any other RNs applying to the MSN program? I just submitted my application today (mine isn't due until February 1st)--now the waiting game begins! I've been working at Yale for 3 years now and currently live in New Haven. Don't be discouraged by the city, it's a really great place with plenty to do. As for the weather: it's definitely cold here--a down jacket and good pair of boots are your best friend during the winter months. I suppose if I'm accepted, I won't be starting with any of you as I will jump right into the second year. Please let me know if anyone has questions about New Haven! Good luck to everyone finding out about interviews in the coming weeks.

Hi Julia, I would be joining you if I'm accepted (I'm an RN too). I'm anxiously awaiting the April 1st announcement. What specialty area did you apply for?

Hi guys, sorry to just be talking to myself here (I'm clearly nervous), but I could have sworn I read some statistics about how many MSN students are accepted/apply/interviewed each year, and how many are in each specialty class. I can't find this post though. Anyone know what I'm talking about or able to link the stats I'm hunting?

Hi Rebecca, I applied to FNP, you? This has definitely been the longest few months. I just hope they are able to stick to the April 1st deadline. Fingers (and toes) crossed for good news next week!

Midwifery. I'm hopeful for news too. Sounds like the GENP group knew on time and the admissions office has been so great about everything that I'm sure they're on top of it.

How did you feel your interview went? Mine was only 30 minutes (which seemed brief) and even though I hung up feeling like it went well, I've been over thinking things this past week.

I feel like the interview went well over all. I was actually more nervous than I would have expected despite my interviewer being so down-to-earth. Mine also lasted 30 minutes and ran through a set of straight forward questions. Good luck and let me know what happens!

Just accepted for FNP (GEPN). Very excited to start in August :)
